The Badgers football team travelled to West Lafayette to face Purdue on the road for a conference matchup on Friday at Ross Ade Stadium, defeating the Boilermakers 38-17. Wisconsin bursted out to a 21-3 lead, scoring a touchdown on each of their first three possessions of the game.
Tanner Mordecai ran for a score on both of the team’s first two drives before Braelon Allen punched one in on the ground to cap off a 16-play, 75-yard possession which chewed up 8:41 off of the first half clock.
Although Purdue was able to narrow the deficit to 27-17 in the third quarter, that’s as close as the Boilermakers would get in the contest as Wisconsin’s defense forced three turnovers on the day, two of which were in the second half.
