Chase Young wins ‘Best Rookie Performance of the Day’ by NFL Network

Former Ohio State defensive end Chase Young was recognized by the NFL Network as having the ‘Best Rookie Performance of the Day.’

We’ve been waiting to see what kind of impact former Ohio State defensive end Chase Young would have right out of the gate in the NFL. Well, so far so good. Young not only recorded his first career sack in The League, but he chipped in another half of a sack, registered four tackles, and was a disrupter all day long.

Young even added in a strip of quarterback Carson Wentz that helped the Washington Football Team come back from a 17-0 deficit to win its first game of the young season.

For all of his efforts, Young was awarded the ‘Best Rookie Performance of the Day’ by the NFL Network.

There were several rookies to choose from, but when the No. 2 overall pick, in his first game makes the impact that Chase Young made,” Scott Hanson said. “One and a half sacks, including the strip-sack which helped clinch the victory for Washington … Congratulations to Chase Young.”

Something tells me this is one of many awards and accolades we might see the former Ohio State star rack up during his first season in the NFL.
