Chase Young was undoubtedly one of the most dominant Ohio State players in recent memory and a favorite of many Buckeye fans all over.
Injuries throughout the beginning of his career limited him to just 12 games total in the 2021 and 2022 seasons. He also missed week one of this season but has been a dominant force since returning in Week 2, and Thursday night was the best example of that.
He was in the backfield wreaking havoc all night long as he recorded 11 pressures on his former Buckeye teammate Justin Fields. This was the highest total of any player in the NFL so far this season.
This is a big year for Young as this is the last year of his rookie contract with the Commanders setting him up for a big pay day with a productive season. He is off to a good start to doing just that as after last night he is up to 27 pressures through four games to start the season.
It’s great to see Young healthy and back on a football field where he is establishing himself as a dominant player once again.
