Charles Barkley brutally roasted the Bruins’ early playoff exit with the Celtics down at halftime

“Oh sorry, bad example.”

This quip is certainly not going to earn Charles Barkley any fans in the Boston area, that’s for sure.

On Tuesday, the Philadelphia 76ers were taking it to the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of their second round matchup. With the series tied 2-2 and headed into halftime, the Celtics were down 58-49 and looking listless at home in front of a tough Boston crowd.

As TNT went to its halftime panel with the “Inside the NBA” crew, Barkley saw a perfect opportunity to kick Boston fans while they were down. Barkley noted that even if the Celtics do end up losing this series, at least the Boston Bruins were still continuing their playoff run, right?

Whoops!

The Bruins really are never going to live down losing to the Florida Panthers in Game 7 after a historic NHL regular season. What a burn from Barkley!
