Shai Gilgeous-Alexander gained a supporter for his All-Star Game starter bid on Tuesday.
During an interview with Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks, “NBA on TNT” crew member Charles Barkley made it clear he believes Gilgeous-Alexander should start in the 2023 All-Star game.
“Shai Gilgeous-Alexander better be starting in the damn All-Star game this year.”
With the All-Star game nearly three months away, there’s still plenty of time for Gilgeous-Alexander to cement his spot as not only an All-Star, but an All-Star starter.
In 20 games this season, Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 31.1 points on 50.6% shooting, 6.1 assists and 4.9 rebounds. The Thunder are 8-13.
