Chargers sign former Texas kicker Cameron Dicker

Former Texas Longhorn Cameron Dicker is set to handle place-kicking duties for the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9.

The Chargers announced the signing of Dicker off the practice squad on Thursday. Dicker will kick in place of the injured Taylor Bertolet.

Dicker has bounced around a few NFL teams during his rookies season but has taken advantage of his limited opportunities. He went 2-for-2 including a game-winning field goal for the Eagles in Week 5 of the season. An effort strong enough to win Dicker NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

In his four years at Texas, Dicker connected on 60-of-79 field goals and 206-of-210 extra point tries. He even served as an exceptional punter, averaging 48 yards per punt.

He gets another crack to prove himself as the Chargers take on the Falcons this weekend.
