Chargers QB Justin Herbert named Offensive Rookie of the Month

Justin Herbert became the first quarterback to earn the honors in consecutive months since Sam Bradford in 2010.

Another one.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was named Offensive Rookie of the Month for the second consecutive month. He became the first quarterback to do so in consecutive months since Sam Bradford in 2010.

Despite having a 3-8 record, Los Angeles has still been in nearly every single game because of the strong play by Herbert.

Herbert was 145-of-218 passing for 1,473 yards, 11 touchdowns, and four interceptions over the last five weeks.

His eye-popping stats have landed him in the history books, as he is just the second player in NFL history to have thrown for at least 3,000 passing yards in his first 10 starts. The only other player is Patrick Mahomes.

Herbert is on pace to throw for 4,522 yards, which would pass Andrew Luck for the most passing yards in a rookie season (4,374). He is also only five touchdown passes away from passing Baker Mayfield (27) for the most passing touchdowns in a rookie season in league history.
