Chargers place CB Chris Harris, Jr. on injured reserve, add safety Jahleel Addae to active roster

The four-time Pro Bowler is headed to the IR.

The Chargers will be without their starting slot cornerback for the next four to six weeks.

Chris Harris Jr. suffered a foot injury during Los Angeles’ Week 3 loss to the Panthers. Fortunately for L.A., Harris will suit up for them again in 2020 as this injury is not considered season-ending.

Harris was signed this past offseason after spending the first nine years of his career with the Broncos where he earned four trips to the Pro Bowl.

Through the first three games with the Bolts, Harris has totaled 15 tackles and one pass deflection while playing on nearly 93% of the defensive snaps.

With Harris out, Desmond King will likely fill his void. King’s playing time has taken a toll with Harris getting the majority of the snaps in the slot.

In correspondence, the Chargers added safety Jahleel Addae to the active roster.
