CFB analyst believes Alabama could reclaim ‘King of CFB’ title in 2023

Can Alabama bounce back in a big way in the 2023 season? One analyst thinks it’s likely to happen.

Alabama is still a premier program in all of college football, despite Georgia winning back-to-back national championships the last two seasons. Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide had a disappointing season in 2022, but would still be a historically successful year for most programs across the country.

ESPN’s David Pollack, who played college football at Georgia, argues Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide are making a push to reclaim that top spot.

“We all know that Georgia Football is the King of CFB right now but Alabama is dang sure trying to change that. Signed #1 recruiting class,” said Pollack in a recent tweet. “New DC coming soon. Upgraded their OC today to Tommy Rees. Legit stud play caller!”

There are still a lot of questions regarding the roster and how the starting offensive and defensive units will look, but there’s an entire offseason remaining to figure that out. Not to mention, Saban doesn’t disclose all too much information if he doesn’t need to.

Every team begins the 2023 season with a clean 0-0 record. Alabama will begin its journey to return to the College Football Playoff with a home contest against Middle Tennessee on Sept. 2
