The Boston Celtics have made the Blake Griffin signing official, circulating a press release to announce the addition of the veteran big man on Monday morning. The team said details about the signing are not going to be released, but it is expected to be a one-season contract for the veteran minimum.

The Celtics note the 6-foot-9 forward appeared in 56 games, including 24 starts, and averaged 6.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 17.1 minutes per game for the Brooklyn Nets last season. The six-time All-Star has played more than 700 games for the Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons and Nets in his career.

Griffin is one of just nine active players to average at least 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists per game over the course of their career, which began with Griffin earning 2010-11 NBA Rookie of the Year honors.
