EA Sports officially released a trailer for the upcoming installment of their Madden NFL video game franchise and within the reveal had an exciting surprise for Kansas City Chiefs fans.

Chiefs Kingdom often jokes that Patrick Mahomes has incomplete passes that are better than some completed passes by other quarterbacks. It was undoubtedly true regarding one of his most iconic plays in the team’s Super Bowl LV loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The play was so good that it made the NFL’s Top 100 Plays of 2020 — an incomplete pass — and now it’s coming to “Madden NFL 24” as what is speculated to be a unique player animation.

If you don’t recall the specific play and moment, here’s a brief rundown:

Mahomes was playing behind a patchwork offensive line and was running for his life all game, reversing field and trying to buy time to make any throw possible. It was fourth down and little was going right for the Chiefs. Flushed from the pocket and tripped up by Bucs DE William Gholston, Mahomes made a diving passing attempt that hit RB Darrel Williams in the facemask in the endzone.

Bucs players we’re calling Mahomes a magician on the sideline after the attempt. Here’s what the star QB had to say about it:

“Yeah, definitely a pass you only attempt on fourth down. I was scrambling out and I was trying to get past that last guy on that edge there because I knew that if I got past, it would buy enough time that hopefully somebody could get open. Obviously, he kind of clipped me and it kind of tripped up my feet and I wasn’t going to go down without giving somebody a chance. I saw a red jersey, I didn’t know it was Darrel (Williams), I just saw a red jersey and I knew I had to find a way to throw it and give him a chance to catch the ball, so I just put it up there. Obviously, came up short but I mean he battled for the ball and just like the whole game, we didn’t make the plays, but guys battled until the very end.”

Well, it seems like Mahomes will get some opportunities to complete that pass again, just this time it’ll be happening in a video game.

WATCH: Videos from final week of Bears OTAs

Here are some quick videos from the Bears’ final open OTAs practice on Wednesday.

The Chicago Bears are gearing up to wrap their offseason program with the final week of organized team activities (OTAs) at Halas Hall. They conducted their ninth workout on Wednesday, the third open session to the media.

Bears media members in attendance have been sharing snippets from Wednesday’s practice, including plenty of highlights on offense and defense.

The Justin Fields and DJ Moore connection continues to thrive, as the pair connected on another deep play. Meanwhile, the play of the day came when safety Elijah Hicks had a pick-six. Fields was targeting rookie receiver Tyler Scott over the middle when linebacker T.J. Edwards tipped the pass and Hicks picked it off and returned it for a score.

Hopefully we’ll see highlights from those plays at some point from the Bears’ social media team.

But, for now, here are some quick videos from Wednesday’s practice (this post will be updated as more are shared):

Highlights from Day 1 of Titans mandatory minicamp

Highlights of the Titans in action at Day 1 of mandatory minicamp.

The Tennessee Titans hit the practice field on Tuesday for their first day of mandatory minicamp, which is the first portion of the offseason program in which players must be in attendance.

After today’s session, the Titans will hold two more practices for mandatory minicamp on Wednesday and Thursday, and then the team will have four more sessions of organized team activities from June 12-15.

As far as absences were concerned, cornerbacks Caleb Farley, Elijah Molden and Kristian Fulton did not take part, and neither did defensive back Josh Thompson, outside linebackers Harold Landry and Sam Okuayinonu, offensive lineman Dillon Radunz and tight end Trevon Wesco.

Two players we saw for the first time this offseason were safety Kevin Byard and defensive lineman Denico Autry.

Tuesday’s session was open to the media, so we got plenty of video of the players in action from the beat writers on the ground. Here’s a look at the highlights.

WATCH: Clips from Chiefs’ arrival at the White House

The #Chiefs have officially arrived at the White House ahead of their Super Bowl LVII ceremony.

The Kansas City Chiefs have officially arrived at the White House ahead of the team’s Super Bowl LVII ceremony later this afternoon.

The team appears to have invited everyone on last year’s roster. That means players who have since signed elsewhere or are still free agents, such as JuJu Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman, Andrew Wylie and others, are in attendance for the event with their former teammates. Retired Chiefs QB Chad Henne is there. Frank Clark and Carlos Dunlap, who remain free agents, are in attendance. Former Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy, who is just down the road with the Washington Commanders, is also among those in attendance.

Below you’ll find some clips that have been revealed on social media live from the Chiefs’ arrival at the White House:

Watch: Titans WR Treylon Burks was mic’d up at OTAs

Titans WR Treylon Burks was mic’d up during a session of OTAs recently.

It was around this time last year when fans and media members everywhere were blatantly overreacting to Tennessee Titans wideout Treylon Burks’ asthma and conditioning issues.

To say that many were prematurely pushing the panic button would be a drastic understatement.

Some essentially went as far as to claim that Burks was simply lazy and didn’t care enough to stay in shape throughout the pre-draft process.

Fast forward to one year later and those comments look even more ridiculous than they did back then. By all accounts, Burks has been phenomenal over the last few months in every possible way.

Wide receivers coach Rob Moore even stated that Burks looks like a “different player” than he did this time last year due to the way he’s approached his preparation ever since last season ended.

It certainly appears that way whenever we get a glimpse into the practice field. On top of looking leaner and clearly in much better physical shape, Burks’ overall confidence appears to be growing as well.

The Arkansas product was recently mic’d up for an OTAs practice, and just from watching that you can tell he’s certainly in a much better head space now that he’s not in an uphill battle just to get back in shape while simultaneously learning an NFL offense.

On top of looking explosive and smooth, Burks constantly appears to be a growing vocal leader with his teammates, whether that be joking around, helping them out, or simply cheering them on.

You can find Burks’ mic’d up session in its entirety below:

Tennessee Titans OTAs: Notes, videos and player pressers from Day 2

A round up of news, notes, videos and player pressers from Day 2 of Tennessee Titans OTAs.

The Tennessee Titans took part in Day 2 of organized team activities (OTAs) on Tuesday, and the session was open to the media, giving us a close look into what the team was doing.

Among those of note who were present for the session included defensive lineman Teair Tart, who had a tender placed on him earlier this offseason.

Tart has not signed that tender but he did sign some kind of protection agreement before taking part, according to Titans beat writer Paul Kuharsky.

On the flip side, cornerback Kristian Fulton is a notable absence. Head coach Mike Vrabel confirmed after practice that Fulton hasn’t arrived yet.

We don’t know why Fulton is absent, and this part of the offseason program is voluntary, but on the surface this isn’t a great look for the oft-injured Fulton, who is very much in a make-or-break, contract year.

Thanks to beat writers on the ground, we got some great videos from the session and notes on what went down during it, as well as highlights from player pressers afterwards. In addition, we’ve linked to the three pressers featuring Tennessee’s coaches.

Check out everything we rounded up from Tuesday below.

WATCH: Chiefs WR Skyy Moore provides look into Texas offseason workouts

Skyy Moore debuted the fourth episode of his YouTube series, providing an inside look at #Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes’ Texas training sessions.

*Warning NSFW music.*

Kansas City Chiefs WR Skyy Moore has debuted the fourth episode of his YouTube series, Before Your Eyes.

The first two episodes covered the regular season and postseason, while the third episode took fans behind the scenes with Moore’s brand. This episode picks up with offseason training in Texas with Patrick Mahomes and several other teammates on offense.

The episode kicks off with Moore watching an old clip of some high school highlights from Shady Side Academy before quickly jumping into a sneak peek at what went down in Texas this offseason. First, we hear from APEC’s Bobby Stroupe about the type of three-pronged specialized training the players receive at his facilities in Texas. He also provided some insight into Moore’s growth from his rookie season to this offseason and explained why he felt these workouts were so important for the team.

“I think it’s really good for these guys to get off-site for a period of the year,” Stroupe said. “I think the Chiefs obviously endorse that. Anything that is peer-led, anything that is teammate-led, is going to be a different experience for these guys. Then, when they get in the team setting, I think it’s vital because now they’ve got this relationship where they can communicate.”

Later, the video takes you through some of the downtime that Moore and his teammates had while they were in Texas, intermingled with some clips of training. They walked around the TCU campus, took in a Dallas Mavericks game, spent some time in the rental house and played a game of basketball with Team Skyy (Moore) vs. Team Jody (Fortson). Check out the video at the top of the page or over on Moore’s YouTube channel.

Kansas City Chiefs second-round draft pick, SMU WR Rashee Rice, is out in Los Angeles, California for the weekend to represent the team at the NFLPA’s Rookie Premiere event. He’s one of the 45 players selected in the 2023 NFL draft in attendance and the only player at the event for the Chiefs.

On Saturday, the NFLPA provided a brief glimpse at a number of players in their new NFL uniforms. Rice was front-and-center in his No. 4 jersey, next to Los Angeles Chargers WR Quentin Johnston and Dallas Cowboys TE Luke Schoonmaker.

Check it out:

This marks the first time that Rice is putting on his Chiefs’ uniform practically in its entirety with pads and all. He wore just a helmet and jersey during the team’s rookie minicamp earlier this month.

Rice was later spotted on Instagram Live showing off the threads for his new team.

This is the first glimpse fans will get of Rice in his full gear. OTAs kick off on Monday, but they’ll bring more of the same for Kansas City. The team won’t have any padded practices until training camp kicks off in July.
