[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The USMNT welcomes Jamaica to CITYPARK in St. Louis Monday for the second of a 2-leg CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinal battle. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET (TNT). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s soccer odds around the USMNT vs. Jamaica odds, and make our best soccer picks and predictions.

The USMNT will be playing their fourth game under coach Mauricio Pochettino. They won 1-0 at Jamaica in the first leg Thursday, but somewhat managed 6 fewer shots despite 60% possession. The USMNT struggled in the group stage of Copa America, failing to qualify for the knockout stage, but are expected to improve with their new coach. The USMNT is 2-1-2 in 5 matches since the July tournament.

Jamaica has only played in 5 Nations League battles since also bowing out of Copa America in the group stage. They lost to Mexico 1-0, Ecuador 3-1, and Venezuela 3-0 in that tournament and are 2-2-1 in their Nations League competitions since. Jamaica had a strong home showing despite a 1-0 loss Thursday. Jamaica ended with 1 more foul and 1 fewer shot on frame.

USMNT vs. Jamaica picks and predictions

Prediction

USMNT 2, Jamaica 0

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

There’s no good value here.

The USMNT are playing at home and should come out on top, but at almost 3 times your wager for a unit of return, there’s no way taking a team that had fewer shots than their opponent in the game prior is a good wager.

Similarly, Jamaica hasn’t beaten a good opponent in quite some time, and they will struggle to really keep pace, especially on the road. Avoid any moneyline play.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (+117).

The USMNT have a strong backline full of talent from the English Premier League, one of the top leagues in the world. However, they have consistently struggled to use similar talent to produce offensively. They have gone Under in 4 straight matches and in 7 of their last 9 outings.

The USMNT have held a clean sheet twice in their last 3 games. Jamaica has gone Under in 4 of their last 5 matches. They have scored a total of 4 goals in their last 5 contests and haven’t scored in 3 of them. Considering those trends, back UNDER 2.5 (+117).

Jamaica vs. USMNT odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Jamaica vs. USMNT odds and lines, with expert soccer picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

Jamaica welcomes the USMNT to National Stadium Independence Park Thursday for the first of a 2-leg CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinal battle. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET (TNT). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s soccer odds around the Jamaica vs. USMNT odds, and make our best soccer picks and predictions.

The USMNT will be playing just their third game under a new regime, one guided by coach Mauricio Pochettino. This will be his first real game of importance, having lost 2-0 to Mexico on Oct. 15 and having beaten Panama 2-0 on Oct. 12. The USMNT had a terrible Copa America showing, bowing out in the group stage and is 1-1-2 (2 losses) in their 4 friendlies since.

Jamaica also failed to do much of anything in the summer tournament, losing to Mexico 1-0, Ecuador 3-1 and Venezuela 3-0 in the group stage. It has played in 4 CONCACAF Nations League match days since and went 2-2-0 in those. Jamaica’s most recent match was a 0-0 home draw with Honduras, ending with 9 fewer shots despite having 61% possession.

Jamaica vs. USMNT picks and predictions

Prediction

USMNT 2, Jamaica 0

Moneyline (ML)

BET USMNT (+100).

The USMNT should have a new fire under Pochettino, and star F Christian Pulisic is playing at one of the highest levels in his career with AC Milan. They also bringing a star-studded backline led by Fulham D Antonee Robinson and Crystal Palace D Chris Richards. The USMNT, although at home, did put 25 shots on Jamaica and had 4 more shots on frame in a March CONCACAF battle as well.

Jamaica was rocked against quality teams in Copa America, losing all 3 games and dropping its last 2 matches against Ecuador and Venezuela by multiple goals. Despite winning or drawing all 4 since, it only had more shots against Cuba.

Considering Jamaica recent struggles, BACK USMNT (+100).

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (-173).

Neither side has consistently scored over the last few months. Jamaica scored 1 goal in 3 Copa America games and tallied 4 goals against inferior opponents in its Nations League battles since.

The USMNT have gone Under in 3 straight matches, scoring just 3 goals in those. They have gone Under this total in 6 of their last 8 games.

Considering these trends, TAKE UNDER 2.5 (-173).

Mexico vs. USMNT odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Mexico vs. USMNT odds and lines, with expert soccer picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

Mexico welcomes the USMNT to Estadio Akron in Guadalajara for a friendly Tuesday. Kickoff is set for 10:30 p.m. ET (TNT / Telemundo / Max). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s soccer odds around the Mexico vs. USMNT odds, and make our best soccer picks and predictions.

The USMNT had their first game under new coach Mauricio Pochettino, and that resulted in a 2-0 win over Panama at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas Saturday. The USMNT played 2 friendlies in September, drawing New Zealand 1-1 in Cincinnati and losing to Canada 2-1 in Kansas City. Those came on the back of a disappointing Copa America, in which the USMNT went 1-0-2 (2 losses) and failed to qualify for the knockout stage.

Mexico was also in Copa America. With a 1-1-1 record, it also failed to qualify for the knockout stage. In those June games, Mexico beat Jamaica 1-0, lost to Venezuela 1-0 and drew Ecuador 0-0. Since, Mexico has beaten New Zealand 3-0 in an international friendly Sept. 7 and drew Canada 0-0 in a friendly Sept. 10. Mexico has played 5 friendlies this season, going 2-2-1.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4132″ ]

Mexico vs. USMNT picks and predictions

Prediction

USMNT 2, Mexico 2

Moneyline (ML)

BET DRAW (+220).

Mexico and the USMNT have played relatively close games over the last few years. While the USMNT has won a combined 5-0 in its last 2 matches — 2-0 in March and 3-0 in June 2023 — the 2 prior matches were draws.

The last 2 times these teams played in Mexico, they tied  — a 0-0 draw in March 2022 and a 1-1 draw in June 2017. Plus, Mexico has drawn 2 of its last 3 games.

The USMNT has dominated the rivalry recently, but those were at home and not in a hostile environment with a new coach. The Americans have drawn 2 of their last 7 games and have had a one-score difference in 3 of those 7. So, their games have been close recently.

For the value, BACK DRAW (+220).

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (+130).

The most enticing play here is the Draw, but taking Over given these odds also presents a reasonable option. The USMNT has gone over this total in 2 of its last 5 matches.

The USMNT totaled 11 shots and allowed 13 against Panama, so it didn’t necessarily heavily limit its opponent. Mexico is 1-1 O/U in its post-Copa America friendlies. In Mexico’s last 4 friendlies, it has gone Over in 3 of them.

Considering these trends, TAKE OVER 2.5 (+130).

USMNT vs. Panama odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s USMNT vs. Panama odds and lines, with expert soccer picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The USMNT welcomes Panama to Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, on Saturday. Kickoff in the international friendly is set for 9 p.m. ET (TNT). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s soccer odds around the USMNT vs. Panama odds, and make our best soccer picks and predictions.

New USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino will make his debut leading the team. The Americans, 18th in the last FIFA rankings, are coming off a disappointing result, drawing New Zealand 1-1 in Cincinnati on Sept. 10. The USMNT’s last tournament resulted in a group stage exodus in Copa America, losing to Panama 2-1 following an 18th-minute red card to F Timothy Weah in 1 of those 3 games.

The Panamanians, who are 37th in the FIFA rankings, have not played since a 5-0 quarterfinal loss to Colombia in Copa América on July 6. They did have a much better tournament showing than the USMNT. Panama lost to Uruguay 3-1, beat the USMNT 2-1, and finished up the group stage with a 3-1 win over Bolivia to qualify for the quarterfinal where they were throttled by Colombia.

The U.S. has an all-time 17-3-7 mark against their Central American counterparts since the 1st meeting in 1993. Following Saturday’s contest, the USA heads to Guadalajara to visit El Tri on Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. ET.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4132″ ]

USMNT vs. Panama picks and predictions

Prediction

USMNT 3, Panama 1

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

Many of the top USMNT players should be in action in this game, including star F Christian Pulisic, who could start under his new coach and see 70-plus minutes.

With that excitement should come a result; however, the USMNT are far too expensive to play to win outright. One would find better value in playing that their offense helps push the total Over, which is the suggested route here.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (-125).

If the Panama defense showed anything during Copa America, it is that, against quality opponents, it is going to struggle immensely. It gave up 3 goals to Uruguay to open the tournament and then was eliminated by allowing 5 to Colombia. While its offense was nothing too impressive, it did net 4 goals in the group stage and scored in every game. Each of its 4 Copa America matches went Over this total.

The USMNT should see some new and hopefully improved tactics offensively. They are 2-2 O/U this total in their last 4 games. Their game with Panama went north of this total as 19 shots were tallied. The USMNT has allowed a goal in its last 4 games as well. Considering those trends, take OVER 2.5 (-125).

It might even be worthwhile to consider something on the Alternative Over 3.5 (+196) for a chance to double up.

Summer Olympics: Morocco vs. USMNT odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Morocco vs. USMNT odds and lines, with expert Olympics soccer picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The USMNT battles Morocco Friday at Parc des Princes in Paris. Kickoff is set for 9 a.m. ET (USA Network / Telemundo / Peacock). Below, we preview FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Morocco vs. USWNT odds, and make our expert Summer Olympic picks and predictions.

The USMNT didn’t have a strong start to Olympic competition, losing 3-0 to France in Marseille July 24. The Americans followed by taking down New Zealand 4-1 Saturday and Guinea 3-0 Tuesday. This will be the first time the USMNT is in the Olympic knockout stage since 2000. MF Djordje Mihailovic, who plays for the Colorado Rapids, is the lone player that scored in both the USMNT’s last 2 matches.

Morocco beat Argentina 2-1 to start its Olympic competition — Argentina also qualified and will play France in the quarterfinals. It then lost to Ukraine 2-1 and finished off its group stage with a 3-0 victory over Iraq. F Soufiane Rahim, who plays for Al Ain, is a player to keep an eye on as he’s scored in each of Morocco’s Olympic Games.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

Morocco vs. USMNT picks and predictions

Prediction

USMNT 1, Morocco 1

Moneyline (ML)

TAKE DRAW (+240).

While the tournament, to most viewers, appears as a U23 event, there are 3 exceptions per team, and the USMNT used those to bolster its backline, adding D Walker Zimmerman and D Miles Robinson, both of which will likely start. They will bring veteran experience and communication and will be help a red-hot USMNT. While the USMNT struggled in its only competitive match, Morocco hasn’t competed much better, failing to put away Ukraine.

Despite scoring 6 goals, 2 of those were from the penalty which isn’t likely to be repeated. It lost to Ukraine, throttled Iraq, and despite winning, had 7 fewer shots than Argentina. Morocco is a rightful favorite but isn’t that much better than the USMNT. This should be a competitive and tight match, giving value to the draw.

DRAW (+240) is the way to go.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (-121).

The USMNT has gone Over each game, but it has allowed just 1 goal in its last 2 and hasn’t played competent defenses. It was held scoreless in its 1st game against France.

Morocco has a similar story. It has allowed 3 goals while scoring 6, totaling just 3 of those against Ukraine and Argentina and ending with just 3 shots on frame against the latter.

The nature of the knockout stage typically suggests fewer goals. In the 6 games between the quarterfinals and semifinals of the 2020 Summer Olympics, 4 of those games went Under a 2.5 total. With the USMNT beefing up its defense with experience, expect fewer goals.

TAKE UNDER 2.5 (-121).

Men’s handball: HUNGARY -6.5 (+102) vs. Argentina

In Men’s Group B handball action, Argentina and Hungary square off at 3 p.m. ET as both are looking to avenge losses in their respective first group play openers.

Hungary was on the short end of a 35-32 score against Egypt Saturday — which was great news since we backed the African nation laying the 1.5 points.

Egypt built a 19-15 lead at halftime, while Hungary managed just 2 fast breaks. However, it was pretty solid on 7m shots, converting at an 83% (5-of-6) clip. Hungary was also 71% (32-of-45) on total shots, but it struggled from the wing, making just 29% (2-of-7). Bence Imre was the difference maker, like he was in Olympic qualifying, making 7 shots on 10 attempts, including 5-of-6 from 7m.

Argentina lost 36-31 to Norway. Argentina was able to make just 61% (31-of-51) of its total shots, to 77% (36-of-47) for Norway. Argentina was good on fast breaks (3-of-3) and 7m shots (3-of-3), but it struggled from 9m (7-of-16) and along the wing (3-of-7). Argentina also had 3 suspensions (2 minutes), which was its undoing, as Norway didn’t have any. Argentina had just a 12% total saves (5-of-41) percentage, while Norway was much better at 33% (15-of-46).

Diego Simonet paced the team with 5 goals on 9 shot attempts, including 2-of-2 on 6m shots, and 1-of-1 on fast-break attempts.

Let’s BACK HUNGARY -6.5 (+102) to bounce back and level its group play record at 1-1.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

Women’s field hockey — 2-team parlay:
Netherlands ML (-450) vs. Germany
& Australia ML (-230) vs. Great Britain

We’re backing 2 rather heavy favorites here, although pairing both together makes for a rather nice price for the 2-LEG PARLAY (-133).

The Netherlands women (-210) are the heavy favorites to take home the gold medal in this discipline. Australia (+1100) has the 4th-shortest odds on futures, just behind Germany (+1000) and Argentina (+600).

NETHERLANDS opened with a resounding 6-2 win over host nation France Saturday, while Germany blanked Japan 2-0 Sunday. The Dutch will have the advantage of a full day of rest, while the Germans go back-to-back against the toughest team in the field. They’re slated to start at 1:45 p.m. ET.

AUSTRAILIA picked up a 2-1 win against South Africa in Pool B Sunday, while Great Britain was on the short end of a 2-1 defeat against Spain. Both teams are playing on no rest, so the scores might again be rather low in his battle. They’re scheduled to start at 11 a.m. ET.

Let’s back to the table toppers to get the job done.

Men’s soccer: USA vs. Guinea — Both teams to score: NO (+110)

This match is Tuesday at 1. p.m. ET.

Team USA suffered a 3-0 loss against host nation France in the opening match, although it held its own against the gold medal favorites for most of the competition. The Americans  had a 55%-to-45% possession advantage over Les Bleus, but it couldn’t find the back of the net.

France broke a scoreless tie at 61′, added a 2nd goal at 69′ and tacked on an insurance goal at 85′, but the young Americans didn’t play poorly.

Team USA responded by routing New Zealand 4-1 Saturday. In fact, the Americans had 3 goals in the opening 30 minutes. F Djordje Mihailovic scored on a penalty kick 8 minutes into the match, D Walker Zimmerman scored 4 minutes later and MF Gianluca Busio’s goal at 30′ made it 3-0. MF Paxton Aaronson scored Team USA’s final goal at 58′. New Zealand got on the board late at the 78-minute mark.

With each team having one game left in pool play. France (2-0-0) is in first with 6 points and a 4+ point differential. US and New Zealand are 1-0-1 (win, draw, loss) with 3 points each, but US has a 0 point differential to New Zealand’s -2. Guinea is 0-0-2, also with a -2 point differential.

Guinea lost 1-0 to France Saturday, and 2-1 to New Zealand Wednesday.

Look for USA to show well again, while keeping a clean sheet, too.

Analyzing Wednesday’s USMNT vs. Brazil odds and lines, with expert soccer picks, predictions and best bets.

The USMNT battle Brazil in an international friendly Wednesday. Kickoff from Camping World Stadium in Orlando is set for 7 p.m. ET (TNT). Below, we preview FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the USMNT vs. Brazil odds, and make our best soccer bets, picks and predictions.

The USMNT is prepping for Copa America, which begins later this month. U.S. faces Brazil in its last warmup before a Copa America group stage schedule that includes matches vs. Bolivia, Panama and Uruguay.

The U.S. is coming off a tuneup 5-1 loss to Colombia Saturday (in Landover, Md.) to gauge where they are. The Americans allowed just 6 shots on target, but 5 of those ended up in the back of the net. The U.S. is 2-0-2 (W-D-L) through 4 matches in 2024. AC Milan F Christian Pulisic leads the squad with 28 goals in 67 caps, according to Wikipedia.

Brazil, on the other hand, has the 2nd-best odds to win Copa America at +220, only behind the F Lionel Messi-led Argentina (+175). Brazil beat Mexico 3-2 Saturday in a friendly at College Station, Texas. Brazil only took 5 shots, but netted 3. Brazil is 2-1-0 through 3 matches in 2024, having yet to lose. It will face Costa Rica, Paraguay and Columbia — arguably the most difficult group — in the Copa America group stage. Brazil will be led offensively in this match by F Vinicius Junior, who was the most lethal weapon for the UEFA Champions League-winning Real Madrid.

USMNT vs. Brazil picks and predictions

Prediction

Brazil 2, USMNT 0

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

The USMNT (+600) has its Copa America squad taking the pitch. The Americans didn’t look good and were unable to stop Colombia Saturday along. They were unable to generate much offense in that match. The team looked totally out of sync on both sides. There’s no great reason to believe it could pull off even a draw against a Brazil side (-270) seen as significantly better than Colombia.

Behind Vini Jr., Brazil — No. 5 in the FIFA Men’s rankings — poses an even greater threat offensively for the U.S than No. 12 Colombia — the USMNT is 11th. Brazil has wins over 4th-ranked England and No. 14 Mexico this season and should be able to have its way with the USMNT.

However, the moneyline isn’t worth a play at -270.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (+136).

Brazil has gone Under this total in 5 of its last 8 matches and has gone Under it in 2 of its last 4. While it has scored 3 goals in each of its last 2 games, it ended with a combined 11 shots on goal through those matches. So, the numerous opportunities weren’t necessarily there.

As mentioned, the USMNT limited Colombia to just 6 shots on frame and should have a unit that bounces back after having been demolished Saturday. It has gone Under in 2 of its last 4 games, allowing just 2 goals in those 4 matches. It has the defense to slow down Brazil, while the USMNT offense has tallied just 1 goal in its 2 international friendlies this season.

Expect a game with a higher intensity than what the U.S. showed Saturday, and one with limited offensive opportunities. BACK UNDER 2.5 (+136).

USMNT vs. Colombia odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s USMNT vs. Colombia odds and lines, with expert soccer picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The USMNT battle Colombia in an international friendly Saturday. Kickoff from Commanders Field in Landover, Md., is set for 5:30 p.m. ET (TNT). Below, we preview FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the USMNT vs. Colombia odds, and make our best soccer bets, picks and predictions.

The USMNT is prepping for Copa America, which begins in late June. U.S. faces Colombia Saturday and then Brazil Wednesday in friendlies prior to facing Bolivia, Panama and Uruguay in the group stage of Copa America. The USMNT has also played 3 games in 2024. The Americans lost to Slovenia 1-0 but beat Jamaica 3-1 and Mexico 2-0 to win the CONCACAF Nations League. They are led by AC Milan F Christian Pulisic, who has 28 goals in 66 caps for the national team, according to Wikipedia.

USMNT vs. Colombia picks and predictions

Prediction

Columbia 2, USMNT 2

Moneyline (ML)

SPRINKLE DRAW (+210).

This is the best value on the table. Colombia appears to be in good shape, having won both friendlies this year, one of which was against Spain, which ranks No. 8 in the FIFA Men’s Rankings. Columbia has won 6 straight games but has drawn 3 of its last 9. The U.S. will be one of its tougher challengers.

The USMNT has a similar roster to its 2022 World Cup squad that did make it out of the group stage. Led by Pulisic, the USMNT should have its top roster, which beat Mexico 2-0 March 24. This should be a close battle, and for the value, take DRAW (+210).

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (+108).

Colombia finishes its chances. It tallied 3 goals with 6 shots on frame in its 3-2 win over Romania March 26. It has scored in 6 straight games and has scored multiple goals in 3 of those. It would’ve topped this total in 3 of 6 as well. The USMNT has topped this total in 6 of its last 8 games.

While not all have been with this squad, it went 1-1 O/U on this total in the last 2 Nations League games. USA has a strong attacking core with Pulisic and M Gio Reyna; however, it has an aging backline could struggle against a dominant forward like Diaz. Expect goals to be scored with 2 high-octane attacks Saturday.

BACK OVER 2.5 (+108).

USMNT vs. Ghana odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s USMNT vs. Ghana odds and lines, with expert soccer picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The USMNT welcomes Ghana for an International Friendly Tuesday. Kickoff from Geodis Park in Nashville is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the USMNT vs. Ghana odds, and make our best expert soccer picks and predictions.

The USMNT has competed frequently since the 2022 Qatar World Cup, playing 10 matches since the start of June, 3 of which were friendlies. This will be their 2nd of 2 friendlies in October; the USNMNT lost 3-1 to Germany in the 1st match on Saturday. F Christian Pulisic scored the USMNT’s lone goal, putting them up 1-0 in the 27th minute. The USMNT ended with 6 shots and 3 on goal to Germany’s 13 and 4.

Ghana has also had an active 2023 and has played 6 matches since the start of March. It has a pair of friendlies in October as well, dropping the 1st 2-0 to Mexico on Saturday. That game was played in Charlotte with Mexico totaling 12 shots and 4 on frame to Ghana’s 8 and 4. AFC Bournemouth F Antoine Semenyo is the main threat for Ghana, and he has scored in the English Premier League this season.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

USMNT vs. Ghana picks and predictions

Prediction

USMNT 2, Ghana 0

Moneyline (ML)

BET USMNT (-145).

The USMNT has handled easier competition in friendlies with ease this season, taking down Oman 4-0 on Sept. 12 and Uzbekistan 3-0 on Sept. 9. Ghana ranks 60th in the Men’s FIFA World Rankings with Mexico sitting 12th.

The USMNT ranks 11th and will have its top team on the pitch Tuesday. Ghana took on a Mexican team with both teams on the road Saturday and lost 2-0. Put the pieces together and the USMNT should come out on top. Back the USMNT (-145).

Over/Under (O/U)

LEAN UNDER 2.5 (-135).

While Ghana shouldn’t present much of a challenge when it comes to the result of the game, it should have a better defense than Uzbekistan and Oman, both of which allowed 3 goals to the USMNT earlier this fall.

Ghana gave up just 2 to Mexico and allowed just 4 shots on frame, and considering it didn’t have a shot on goal, it may not succeed often Tuesday either. Ghana’s defense is good enough to limit to the USMNT to under 3, and its offense isn’t good enough to get on the board.

Take UNDER 2.5 (-135).
