DAZN announces BetMGM as exclusive odds provider for U.S. boxing broadcasts

The extended partnership begins Saturday, Nov. 7, when Devin “The Dream” Haney defends his WBC lightweight championship against Yuriorkis Gamboa.The multi-fight broadcast and digital deal solidifies BetMGM as the exclusive odds provider for a dozen DAZN events over the next year and extends across DAZN’s platform and entire suite of channels, including:

  • Throughout fight weekBetMGM branding, as well as the latest betting odds, will surround DAZN’s live streams and coverage.
  • During the broadcast – A live BetMGM betting ticker and co-produced content featuring DAZN talent and BetMGM expertise throughout the main event and co-main event of all 12 fight nights. BetMGM will also serve as the official presenting sponsor of the Over/Under for one branded round of each evening’s main event.
  • Also on fight night – Custom DAZN social media posts will bring BetMGM into the conversation with boxing fans.

DAZN subscribers in licensed betting states will also receive custom BetMGM sports betting promotions leading up to each event.

BetMGM adds ESPN veteran Ryan Spoon as COO

BetMGM, the sports betting joint venture between MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings, announced the appointment of Ryan Spoon as Chief Operating Officer.

Spoon, who is scheduled to start his new role in November at BetMGM’s headquarters in New Jersey, will report to BetMGM’s CEO Adam Greenblatt.

“BetMGM has seen early success in establishing itself as a significant player in the sports betting world through relationships with leagues, teams and partners. With Ryan’s expertise in developing scaled and engaging digital experiences, BetMGM will leverage those relationships in entirely new ways,” Greenblatt said in a release.

Spoon, a two-time Sports Business Journal Forty Under 40 winner, most recently served as Senior Vice President of Social & Digital Content at ESPN. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Digital Product and Design. In those capacities, Spoon helped build, operate and grow many of the leading digital properties in sports, which include ESPN.com, the ESPN app, ESPN Fantasy and ESPN Fantasy Football, as well as ESPN Social.

Tennessee Titans announce BetMGM as first Official Sports Betting Partner

The Tennessee Titans have reached a deal with BetMGM in Tennessee, the first ever deal between a professional sports team and a sportsbook in the state.

The Tennessee Titans announced Monday, Sept. 28, that BetMGM, a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings, is the club’s first Official Sports Betting Partner.

The announcement is the state’s first official partnership between a professional sports team and a sports betting platform. BetMGM recently received a conditional license to offer legal, online sports betting in Tennessee. Pending regulatory approval, BetMGM’s mobile app is scheduled to go live in Tennessee November 1, when online sports betting is scheduled to launch.

“We are thrilled to bring BetMGM to the state of Tennessee,” said Gil Beverly, Titans Sr. Vice President, Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer. “BetMGM will deliver new experiences and levels of engagement to our fans and we’re excited to welcome them in as an official partner.”

Las Vegas Raiders announce BetMGM as first Official Sports Betting Partner

The Las Vegas Raiders have reached a deal with BetMGM Sportsbook in Nevada.

The Las Vegas Raiders announced Thursday, Sept. 17, that BetMGM, a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings, is the club’s first Official Sports Betting Partner.

This relationship is an extension of an existing multi-year partnership between the Raiders and MGM Resorts.

“We are pleased to add BetMGM to the MGM Resorts partnership portfolio,” said Raiders President Marc Badain. “The addition of BetMGM will open new levels of engagement for Raiders fans and guests of Allegiant Stadium.”

The PGA TOUR and BetMGM announced a multi-year content and marketing relationship, with BetMGM becoming an Official Betting Operator of the PGA TOUR.

BetMGM, in joining the TOUR’s Official Betting Operator program, will have rights in the United States to use PGA TOUR marks, advertise within TOUR media and TOUR partner platforms, plus content and video rights, which allows BetMGM Sportsbook platforms to create pre- and post-game betting programs.
