4-star DL Bear Alexander signs with Georgia

Committed, decommitted, recommitted and now signed. Bear Alexander is a Dawg.

Georgia just keeps reloading on the defensive line.

4-star defensive tackle Bear Alexander, out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, has signed his national letter of intent and is officially a Georgia Bulldog.

Alexander, who stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 325 pounds, is ranked as the nation’s No. 42 overall player and the No. 6 defensive lineman in the class of 2022 according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.

Bear received nearly 30 scholarship offers from many different top-tier programs such as Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Texas. He did narrow his list down to 16 teams on Dec 20, 2020 and a little over a month later, he officially decided Georgia was the best place for him.

He later would decommit from Georgia and reopen his recruitment. In October of 2021, it came down to Georgia and Texas A&M, but Alexander stuck with his original decision and recommitted to UGA.

4-star LB CJ Washington signs with Georgia

Washington can finally say he’s a Dawg after being committed for 1.5 years.

4-star linebacker C.J. Washington has signed to play with Georgia.

Washington ranks as the nation’s No. 129 overall player and as the No. 10 ranked linebacker according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.

Washington committed to Georgia in July of 2020.

He hails from Cedartown, Georgia where he played for Cedartown High School, the same school that produced Nick Chubb, UGA’s second all-time leading rusher.

Washington was a three-sport athlete who also played basketball and competed in track and field in high school. He also played running back and multiple spots on defense at Cedartown.

MASSIVE OL Jacob Hood signs with Georgia

Georgia announced that 3-star offensive lineman Jacob Hood has signed his national letter of intent and will be a Bulldog next season.

Hood ranks as the nation’s No. 409 overall player and as the No. 33 ranked offensive tackle according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.

The obvious thing that stands out about Hood is his size. Out of Hillsboro High School in Nashville, Tennessee, Hood stands at 6-foot-8 and weighs 342 pounds.

Hood posted a well-edited video announcing his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs on Twitter back in September. Hood additionally took time to thank his family in the video.

Georgia announces signing of 4-star safety JaCorey Thomas

JaCorey Thomas is a Dawg and this DB class is just insane.

On Wednesday, the Georgia Bulldogs announced that 4-star safety JaCorey Thomas had signed with UGA.

Thomas ranks as the nation’s No. 324 overall player and as the No. 28 ranked safety in the class of 2022 according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.

Thomas is a member of what might be the greatest defensive backs recruiting class that college football has ever seen. Including Thomas, the DB class consists of 5-stars Malaki Starks, Jaheim Singletary and Daylen Everette plus 4-star cornerbacks Julian Humphrey and Marquise Groves-Killebrew.

Thomas, out of Orlando’s Boone High School, stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 188 pounds.

In his junior season, Thomas racked up 567 yards on offense, getting snaps at both receiver and running back, while recording 60 tackles, two forced fumbles and an interception on defense. He also returned both a kickoff and punt for a touchdown.

He committed to Georgia in June.

Elite RB Branson Robinson signs with Georgia

The nation’s No. 3 ranked RB is officially a Dawg.

RBU keeps getting stronger.

On Wednesday, 4-star running back Branson Robinson made it official when he sent in his national letter of intent to play for Georgia.

Robinson ranks as the nation’s No. 48 overall player and No. 3 running back in the class of 2022.

Out of Germantown High School in Madison, Mississippi, he had been committed to UGA since July. He chose Georgia over Tennessee.

5-star ATH Malaki Starks signs with Georgia

Starks is a Dawg. More 5-star talent coming to Athens.

Georgia landed its biggest fish of its 2022 class when 5-star athlete Malaki Starks officially signed to play football at UGA.

Starks ranks as the nation’s No. 14 overall player and as the top ranked athlete in his class.

Out of Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Georgia, Starks had been committed to UGA since March. It came down to Georgia, Alabama and Clemson – and the Dawgs came out on top.

He stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs in at 200 pounds. Starks is expected to be a safety at the collegiate level.

Georgia adds speedster in 3-star WR Cole Speer

Georgia adds another speedy WR in 3-star Cole Speer.

The Georgia Bulldogs added some serious speed to go alongside 4-star signee CJ Smith on Wednesday when 3-star wideout Cole Speer signed his national letter of intent to UGA.

Speer is a 3-star out of Calhoun high School in Calhoun, Georgia, where he played football, basketball and ran track.

He ranks as the nation’s No. 704 overall player and No. 99 ranked wide receiver.

Speer caught 59 passes for 1,159 receiving yards and hauled in 11 touchdowns in 2020. He also ran a 4.38-second 40-yard dash at Appalachian State camp, which caught the eye of several college football programs.

Has Georgia found its QB of the future? Gunner Stockton signs with UGA

Stockton is a Dawg. Let’s get it.

4-star quarterback Gunner Stockton officially signed his national letter of intent to play for the Georgia Bulldogs on Wednesday morning.

Stockton has been committed to Georgia since January. 247Sports has Stockton as a four-star prospect and ranks him as the No. 67 overall player and No. 7 ranked quarterback.

In October, Stockton broke Deshaun Watson’s Georgia high school record for most career touchdowns (combined rushing and passing).

Stockton also broke another record held by a college football legend this past season. The Rabun County dual-threat quarterback broke Trevor Lawrence’s state record for most career passing touchdowns.

The 6-foot-1, 195 pounder has put up some ridiculous numbers, including a seven touchdown game in a win over Pace Academy this past season. He had six passing and one rushing touchdown in that win. He passed for 382 yards and added another 105 on the ground.

Georgia’s TE room gets even better: 4-star Oscar Delp signs

Delp is a Dawg.

The nation’s No. 2 ranked tight end signed with Georgia this morning.

Oscar Delp, who ranks as the No. 89 overall player in the nation, put pen to paper and signed with Georgia on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.

Delp is a 4-star out of West Forsyth High School in Cumming, Georgia. He picked the Bulldogs in October over Michigan, Clemson and South Carolina.

Delp (6-foot-5, 220 pounds) has been regarded as one of the most coveted prospects in his class.

Delp cited the Bulldogs’ use of freshman tight end Brock Bowers, who leads the team in receiving, as one of the reasons for his decision.

“A dream come true,” Delp said.

5-star DL Mykel Williams signs with Georgia

5-star DL Mykel Williams got things rolling early for the Dawgs.

Georgia got rolling early on Wednesday when 5-star defensive lineman Mykel Williams officially signed to play for the Bulldogs.

Williams had been committed to Georgia since October, when he flipped from USC.

He attends Hardaway High School in Columbus, Georgia and ranks as the nation’s No. 26 overall player and as the No. 5 ranked defensive lineman, per 247Sports.

Williams stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs in at 265 pounds.
