The Ted Lasso Season 3 trailer dropped and fans immediately had so many theories

The Ted Lasso trailer has dropped!

TED LASSO! SEASON 3 TRAILER! AAAAAAAAAA!

OK, sorry, I just got really excited. But if you’re a fan of the Apple TV+ series, you’re counting the days until March 15 when the third season finally — FINALLY! — drops after a certain character went evil at the end of Season 2 (I won’t spoil it, I promise!).

After it dropped — it was a YouTube link from Apple UK that was soon pulled, with everyone wondering if it was accidentally released (UPDATE: It’s now on YouTube, see below!) — fans started coming up with theories for what they saw. And if you haven’t seen Season 2 of the series, here’s where we’ll give you a WARNING: TED LASSO SPOILERS AHEAD!

Ready for the theories? Let’s go:

An emotional Brendan Fraser delivered a powerful Best Actor speech at the SAG Awards

Everybody loves Brendan Fraser, and he’s now got a SAG Award to prove it.

Everybody loves Brendan Fraser, and now he’s got a Screen Actors Guild award to prove it.

The longtime actor edged Elvis star Austin Butler and The Banshees of Inisherin co-star Colin Farrell for SAG’s Best Actor honor, positioning him to possibly repeat at the Academy Awards in March.

Fraser’s on-screen turn in The Whale has earned him the best reviews of his career, and his fellow actors rewarded him handsomely for the performance on Sunday night.

Fraser became overwhelmed with emotion during his fantastic acceptance speech, one of those moments that you don’t forget anytime soon. An Oscar moment could be next.

Fraser has long been one of the warmest personalities in Hollywood and is the object of plenty of nostalgic love for his many notable performances from the ’90s and ’00s.

With Butler winning the BAFTA last weekend in the same category, it figures that Fraser and Butler will be the two vying for Best Actor next month.

Michelle Yeoh beautifully dropped an f-bomb while accepting Best Actress at SAG Awards

Michelle Yeoh got so excited to win a SAG Award that she dropped an f-bomb.

Everything Everywhere All at Once actress Michelle Yeoh got so excited to win a Screen Actors Guild Award that she dropped an expletive.

Yeoh won her very first Screen Actors Guild honor on Sunday night for her performance in the Oscar frontrunner for Best Picture, and she delivered what’s sure to be one of the best speeches this awards season.

With Tár actress Cate Blanchett winning Best Actress at the BAFTAs last weekend, it should be a close call between Yeoh and Blanchett on Oscar night.

For now, enjoy Yeoh’s delightful acceptance speech, complete with a jubilant f-bomb for the ages.

NSFW language to follow.

Yeoh and co-stars Ke Huy Quan and Jamie Lee Curtis walked away big winners on Sunday night, as did their entire cast when the film won Best Ensemble to close the ceremony.

It feels more and more like Everything Everywhere All at Once is going to dominate at the Academy Awards in March, with Yeoh’s win another wonderful reminder.

Ke Huy Quan gave the most inspiring acceptance speech at the SAG Awards

Ke Huy Quan looks like he’s on his way to an Oscar win for Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Everything Everywhere All at Once co-star Ke Huy Quan made history on Sunday night.

Quan became the first Asian actor to win Best Supporting Actor at the Screen Actors Guild and will very likely become the second Asian actor to win in the same category at March’s Oscar ceremony.

The Goonies and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom standout has enjoyed a career resurgence with his deeply moving turn in Everything Everywhere All at Once. Barring a seismic upset, Sunday night’s SAG win will position Quan for an Academy Award.

His speech accepting his SAG Award was incredibly tender and might get you misty.

If that doesn’t move you, we’re not sure what will. Quan’s awards moment has been one of the more special for an actor in quite some time, and an Oscar win would be the absolute best way to cap it.

If you want to see more of Quan, he’ll be appearing in the Disney+ shows Loki and American Born Chinese later this year.

Jamie Lee Curtis had a delightful reaction to winning Best Supporting Actress at SAG Awards

Jamie Lee Curtis might now be an Oscar winner next month.

The Screen Actors Guild threw a fascinating wrench into awards season on Sunday night with its Best Supporting Actress category.

While Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress Angela Bassett looked poised to cement her status as frontrunner for the Oscar, Everything Everywhere All at Once co-star and industry veteran Jamie Lee Curtis stunned with the victory.

It was her first Screen Actors Guild honor. The win also might be the indicator that Curtis will walk away with her first Oscar.

Since 2009, SAG’s Supporting Actress category has overlapped with the Oscars all but once. In 2018, Emily Blunt won for A Quiet Place in a category where eventual Oscar winner Regina King wasn’t nominated.

Curtis’ reaction to winning the award and ensuing speech were absolutely priceless.

While nothing is settled in stone for March’s Oscar ceremony, the momentum has shifted Curtis’ way and may stay there.

If Bassett still winds up taking home the Academy Award, she’d be the first-ever actress to win for a Marvel film. However, right now, it’s all coming up Laurie Strode.

Jenna Ortega, Aubrey Plaza hilariously present award together at SAG Awards

Someone get Jenna Ortega and Aubrey Plaza in the same project, ASAP.

If the Spider-Man pointing meme featured two of the most recognizable actresses in Hollywood, it was on display at Sunday night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards.

While presenting one of the night’s categories, Wednesday star Jenna Ortega and The White Lotus star Aubrey Plaza surprised the crowd by joining each other on stage for a moment of absolute gold.

Ortega and Plaza have both made a name for themselves for their delightfully deadpan, meticulously macabre on-screen personas. The pair knowingly winked at the audience for how hilarious it was that they’d be giving out an award together.

Whether it’s starring in a Scream film (Ortega) or playing April Ludgate on Parks and Recreation (Plaza), the two draw easy comparisons and practically beg for someone to cast them together in a movie or television show.

As the SAG Awards transition to a new home at Netflix, moments like this will work wonders to get more people interested in the acting celebration.

But seriously, Hollywood, make this collaboration happen ASAP.

Stüssy and Nike’s collab on Penny Hardaway’s latest signature shoe is so weird but it works so well

This is such a weird collab, but that’s what makes it so good

Stüssy is a surfer brand that turned into a streetwear icon after being founded in the 80s.

Penny Hardaway — an NBA player — didn’t surf. We don’t even know if he actually wore Stüssy back in the day. But, yet, somehow, the two sides have collaborated on multiple versions of the Penny 2 sneaker so far. I’ve got to admit, it’s so weird.

With as weird as it is, though, the latest collab between the two sides is so good. Stüssy and Nike released the ‘Fossil’ version of the Penny 2 and it’s incredible.

It misses some of the details from the OG models that make it great, but it brings so much more flare in its simplicity and the range of materials. We talk about all that and more on the latest episode of Special Delivery.

The Asylum movie studio just teased an Attack of the Meth Gator, keeping the animals-on-drugs movie genre rolling

I cannot believe this is actually a thing.

If you thought a movie about a bear on cocaine was wild, then wait until you get a load of this.

Apparently, The Asylum — the same film studio that brought us Sharknado — is working on a movie that will absolutely take the drugged-out animal torch from Cocaine Bear and run away with it.

It’s giving us Meth Gator. And, yes, before you ask, this is absolutely a real thing.

With the excitement everyone has about Cocaine Bear finally coming to theaters, The Asylum thought it was a great time to drop a poster for its new project about a bloodthirsty gator on drugs coming this summer.

Honestly, I couldn’t believe this thing was real. So I went searching through tweets just to make sure The Asylum was serious about this. And, well, it actually seems to be.

Again, this is the studio that brought just the Sharknado genre. Those movies were about Shark Tornados. Honestly, a gator hooked on meth doesn’t sound too farfetched in comparison.

There’s some precedent for it, too. Once, the Loretto Police Department Tennessee posted a joke about meth gators on Facebook. It later came out and said it was just a joke.

“Let us be perfectly clear: the meth gator was a humorous illustration used to highlight the dangers of flushing drugs and other substances down your toilet. Alas, the meth-gator is not real. Let’s say that again: THE METH GATOR IS NOT (at this time) REAL. We’ve had to explain that to our cousins across the pond twice.”

As you can see, people ran with it. Some more than others. And, now, we’re here.

So, Cocaine Bear, meet Meth Gator. Maybe there’s room for a collab in the future. Or an intervention. Who knows?

No, Kanye West isn’t coming back to Adidas, so please stop paying attention to baseless rumors on the internet

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. Wow, I sound like a boomer.

Over the last few weeks or so, you’ve probably seen a ton of rumors about Kanye West potentially returning to Adidas.

It all stems from Adidas facing major losses with leftover Yeezy products after the brand cut West at the tail end of 2022 for being antisemitic and anti-Black. Yeezy products became an essential piece to Adidas and now they’re unable to sell any of it.

So, the thinking goes, if Adidas brings Kanye back, gives him a raise and sells their remaining Yeezy products, they’ll still be able to make a profit off of what the brand currently has sitting in storage somewhere.

And, well, I hate to bearer of bad news — or, uh, maybe not so bad news? — but this isn’t a thing. It’s just the internet internetting.

Let’s dive into where this is all coming from and why.

Season 3 of Outer Banks is now on Netflix, and here’s a reminder that you should be watching this ridiculous show

The new season of Outer Banks dropped today on Netflix, and it’s somehow infuriatingly absurd and also a must-watch.

It’s time to head back to the OBX, folks. The third season of Netflix’s drama Outer Banks drops on the streaming platform Thursday and anticipation is high. If you somehow missed the Outer Banks obsession during April of 2020, when everyone binged the Dawson’s-Creek-meets-Uncharted series, it’s time to get on it.

Outer Banks is an absolutely ridiculous, absurd show that will drive you nuts and probably make you angry more than a few times an episode. This is the show that purported you can take a ferry from the Outer Banks to the college town of Chapel Hill, after all.

And I cannot recommend it enough.

As we look forward to whatever glorious nonsense happens this season, let’s take a quick look at the endeavors of the first two seasons to make sure everyone is all caught up with where we left off with John B, JJ, Pope, Kiara and Sarah.

In season one, John B (Chase Stokes), Kiara (Madison Bailey), Pope (J.D.) and JJ (Rudy Pankow) — who go by Pogues, the nickname for locals — are on the hunt for a long lost treasure. The fancy and rich Sarah (Madelyn Cline) joins the crew on this journey as the group uses various maps and knicknacks (mostly left by John B’s missing and mysterious father) to attempt to track down the gobs of gold somewhere out there in the OBX. There’s a lot of drama and intrigue (and a few murders), and we learn Sarah’s dad, Ward (Charles Esten), is bad news in the worst way.

The season ends with a cliffhanger as John B and Sarah head into a storm.

BUT IT’S OK! THEY SURVIVE.

John B and Sarah make their way to the Bahamas to try and steal back the gold bars from Ward, but things go awry. While everyone thinks John B and Sarah are dead, life continues in North Carolina. Pope gets involved in a journey searching for a giant gold cross that has ties to his family lineage in the Outer Banks (and rumored magical healing powers — not joking), and things end up with more murders and Ward faking his own death with a yacht explosion.

After all that, no one got any treasure, and John B’s dad is alive!

If you’re thinking, “Wow this sounds like an absolute mess,” well, you’d be 100 percent correct. You should also stop what you’re doing and immediately watch it. Let IMDb user symmetrymis sell you on it with this flawless review:

IMDb review that reads "My goodness this show is garbage. Beautiful unreal garbage. Everything that happens is unintentionally hilarious. I can't wait for season 3." and gives 5 of 10 stars.
