The latest Vikings Wire mailbag answers the latest questions from Minnesota Vikings fans via @TheRealForno
Week one is finally here! The Minnesota Vikings are set to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon
All throughout the week, we have spent time previewing every angle of the first game of the 2023 season and we took it to another angle by asking the fans about the season.
What do they want to know about this season’s Vikings team? We answered questions from eight fans as we head into week one.
Do the Browns need to add to the linebacker, running back, and kicker rooms?
The Cleveland Browns are in Philadelphia this week for joint practices on Monday and Tuesday with the Eagles. Kevin Stefanski has already said that it will be mostly backups on Thursday after the starters get their time in during the joint practices. Some roster questions remain after the struggles of kicker Cade York and injuries to linebacker after losing Jacob Phillips for the season, as well as backup running back Jerome Ford being sidelined with a calf injury.
So do the Browns need to explore available options now or later to fill potential roster holes? Let’s take a look at these questions and more in this week’s Browns mailbag.
Heading into week three of Minnesota Vikings training camp, we open up the mailbag to answer questions about how camp is going.
Two weeks of Minnesota Vikings training camp have passed and we are learning more and more about the 2023 squad each and every day.
As we continue to move forward throughout training camp, there are things to learn about the team. I have been at practice three times so far this year and am opening up the mailbag to answer any and all questions about where the players and team sit currently, including a question about pizza.
Browns training camp is back, so what better time for a mailbag?
The Cleveland Browns wrapped up their fourth training camp practice on Thursday, and the pads come on for three days this weekend before they head back to Berea. There has been plenty to like from both sides of the ball through one week, but it has to translate onto the field when the Cincinnati Bengals come to town in Week 1.
What better way to wrap up the first week of the return to the practice field than with a mailbag episode of Nothing Rhymes with Orange? You can listen on both Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Tap in!
Detroit Lions Podcast pre-training camp mailbag answers many questions about the Lions and several specific players
The latest edition of the Detroit Lions Podcast is now available. This one is in mailbag form, with logistical difficulties preventing a live show this week.
In this mailbag, I fielded questions from the podcast’s Patreon Slack chat in advance of training camp. Among them:
What’s happening at off-ball linebacker, what should we be looking for, and who is on the hot seat?
What are potential offensive wrinkles we might see from Ben Johnson?
Breaking down the TE competition entering camp
Will defenses figure out what the Detroit Lions are doing on offense?
Who are the top breakout candidates?
What should fans expect from Levi Onwuzurike?
Could another kicker be on the way?
All that and more get covered.
This was recorded Wednesday morning, before the Denzel Mims trade and the release of kicker Michael Badgley. Both of those topics do come up, and the Badgley take here does not age well. C’est la vie!
What are realistic goals for Watson, the defensive line, and are more moves coming?
Training camp is just around the corner kicking off next weekend on the 22nd as the team heads for West Virginia to kick off camp. The long offseason is nearly behind us as Cleveland Browns football is in the air. It’s time to turn the page on the additions of the offseason and start focusing on what this team will look like in 2023.
Most, like myself, believe that Deshaun Watson will have some kind of bounce back but what could that look like? Is Andrew Berry done adding talent or is more coming? Let’s take a look at these questions and more in this pre-training camp Browns mailbag.
With less than three weeks until training camp, @jzulgad answered fan questions about a variety of topics.
The NFL offseason has become pretty much non-existent, except for the few weeks after minicamps end in June and training camps open in late July.
That period enables executives, coaches and players to get a breather before the long season begins in the summer heat. So with the Vikings, and the rest of the league, taking a few weeks to recharge, let’s open the mailbag and answer some questions.
Midsummer mailbag: On depth chart and camp battles, player expectations and more via the Detroit Lions Podcast
We’ve hit the midsummer holiday time. Be it the 4th of July or Canada Day, I hope you all are enjoying the slow time on the football calendar.
In conjunction with the Detroit Lions Podcast, we’ve got a mailbag full of questions from the podcast Patreon Slack channel. A couple of these inquisitions come from the end of minicamp week, but they’re still interesting questions and angles to explore.
Here are some of the choice selections from the midsummer mailbag.
What are the futures of Wills, Winfrey, and others heading into next month’s training camp?
The Browns wrapped up offseason workouts after last week’s mandatory minicamp. You aren’t winning any games in June but it was a productive minicamp for the offense that looks better than last year. Quarterback Deshaun Watson talked about having fun on the football field and how much better he feels this offseason than last. Questions remain about the overall future of the roster, will Perrion Winfrey make the roster after an offseason arrest that ended with the charges being dropped? What should the team expect from Jedrick Wills and what dark horse candidates could make the roster?
Let’s examine these questions and more in this edition of the Browns mailbag. Questions for future mailbags can be emailed to brownsmailbag@gmail.com.
With mandatory minicamp just days away, the latest mailbag is here loaded with questions about the defense.
A lot has been happening with the Minnesota Vikings this week. Dalvin Cook has been released, trade rumors are circling about Danielle Hunter and Jordan Addison continues to sit out of practice.
Next week, there will be even more to discuss, as mandatory minicamp will be upon us. With that comes the latest mailbag with questions about a different trade involving an edge rusher and who will see the most snaps in the secondary.
