Division Stat Leader Projections: The AFC East

Bills, Dolphins, Jets, and Patriots — Touchdown Wire’s Natalie Miller predicts the 2023 stat leaders for the AFC East.

With rosters all but set as we turn the corner into preseason just weeks away, we have a pretty good feel on how depth charts and production will fall come the regular season. Today we are taking a look at the projected stat leaders out of each division, with the AFC East.

Let’s dive in.

Aaron Rodgers agrees to new contract with $35 million pay cut

Aaron Rodgers’ $75 million contracts saves the Jets megabucks

Aaron Rodgers has to love being a New York Jet.

That can be the only explanation for why the four-time NFL MVP would sacrifice about $35 million and agree to a new two-year contract that is worth $75 million.

Per Adam Schefter:

NFL Award Predictions: Coach of the Year

Touchdown Wire’s Natalie Miller has five NFL coaches in mind who could win Coach of the Year when all is said and done.

With the season closing in on us at a rapid pace things in the NFL are becoming more and more clear as far as final rosters and depth charts. With those things out of the way it comes time for projections! In this series we will be going through each individual award and pick five players that we think have a great shot at bringing home the medal. Today we will be looking at the NFL’s Coach of the Year award. He are our five picks.

Sauce Gardner gives Aaron Rodgers ‘gr8’ piece of jewelery

Aaron Rodgers received quite a nice gift from Sauce Gardner

Aaron Rodgers has found himself a new home with the New York Jets.

His teammates seem to love the former Green Bay Packers.

Second-DB Sauce Gardner combined with a jeweler and delivered a sweet necklace as a welcome gift of sorts.

“So you’re my jeweler’s favorite quarterback,” Gardner told Rodgers. “You know what I mean, Al the Jeweler. So he wanted to cook up something special for you. He brought the idea to me, I said I think it would be a good idea.”

Check this out. It tops the stuff Kirk Cousins was wearing last year in Minnesota for sure.

2023 NFL Record Predictions: The AFC East

Touchdown Wire’s Natalie Miller continues her divisional previews with final record predictions for the AFC East.

With rosters all but set and preseason but a short few weeks ahead of us, it is time to dive into the heart of the NFL and predict some records! Today we are looking at a division formerly dominated by the Patriots but is now in a bit of a jumble with the AFC East and seeing who we think will come away with the division crown.

First look: Aaron Rodgers in Jets’ No. 8 uniform

Check out Aaron Rodgers in a different green uniform

It was reporting day for some NFL teams.

And one of the most intriguing attendees was Aaron Rodgers.

The new New York Jets quarterback tried on his new threads for the first time.

Jets fans have to love it.

The six players who shouldn’t have made our ’50 most dominant’ list — but did

Here are six players who made the NFL Wires’ recent 50 Most Dominant Players list… but probably shouldn’t have.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Issac Newton wasn’t alive when people were making lists of the NFL’s best and most dominant players, but he had that statement right, and it applies to any subjective list about anything, whether we’re discussing NFL players or different brands of bug spray.

So, when it comes to the list of the NFL’s 50 most dominant players in the game today, put together by out estimable group of editors and writers, there are arguments for an against some of the people who made the cut, no matter how great they may be. I’ve already made my case for six players who I think should have made this Top 50 but didn’t, and to make things entirely fair, here are six players who did make the Top 50 that maybe should not have.

You can read both parts of the list right here!

Jets re-sign star DT Quinnen Williams to $96M contract

The Jets came to terms with star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams on a four-year contract

The New York Jets averted a major problem on Thursday when they re-signed star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.

The contract is four years for $96 million, with $66 million guaranteed.

Williams had 12 sacks last year and has 27.5 over four seasons.

New York Jets chosen to be on ‘Hard Knocks’

Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets will be the team on ‘Hard Knocks’ this preseason

If the New York Jets weren’t going to be under a media microscope already with the addition of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, they now will get added visibility.

Wanted or unwanted.

It was revealed on Wednesday that this year’s version of “Hard Knocks” will feature Gang Green.

The Jets were among the candidates for the show. The others were the  Saints, Bears, and Commanders.
