WATCH: Highlights from Bucs at Panthers in Week 18

If you like field goals, we have just the video for you.

Another week, another game with little highlights.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers bested the Carolina Panthers 9-0 on Sunday to become champions of the NFC South. With a score like that, you’d think the highlights would be hard to find, and you’d be entirely correct — there were no touchdowns in this matchup and it was largely a war of attrition with Buc defensive turnovers to keep them in the game.

There were two of those, to be exact, with one coming from Antoine Winfield Jr. as he continues to prove Pro Bowl voters made a mistake and another one coming from edge rusher Joe Tryon-Shoyinka to force a fumble on Bryce Young. Aside from that, kicker Chase McLaughlin nailed all three field goals he was asked to make, and you can watch him do that down here below.

WATCH: Tyrann Mathieu nearly returns an INT for a TD

The New Orleans Saints blew out the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon by a score of 48-17. The last score was a controversial touchdown scored with just outside of a minute left in the game. That touchdown was set up by an interception by Tyrann Mathieu that he then returned for 74 yards before getting tackled at the one yard line.

The interception was the second of the day for the defense and first of the day thrown by Falcons backup Logan Woodside. Mathieu was able to nab his fourth interception of the season and his seventh as a Saint.

After the play, the Saints ran into the end zone with Jamaal Williams who scored his first touchdown of the season. Arthur Smith took exception to this and gave Allen a mouthful at mid-field.

WATCH: Saints WR Chris Olave secures must-see juggling touchdown vs. Falcons

Whew. Chris Olave made one of the plays of the day on this juggling touchdown catch against the Atlanta Falcons — somehow keeping his balance while sprinting into the end zone and tracking the football as it deflected from one hand to another.

But the New Orleans Saints’ star wideout secured the catch to score a go-ahead touchdown. It’s taken some time for Olave to get in sync with his new quarterback Derek Carr, but he’s finished the year strong and is consistently coming through with tough catches when the team needs them.

And he’s still developing. Olave has made strides this year in fighting for contested catches and running for more yards after the catch. If he can take another step forward in 2024, there’s no telling how high his ceiling might be.

WATCH: Alontae Taylor comes in off the bench for his second career interception

WATCH: Alontae Taylor comes in off the bench for his second career interception

Alontae Taylor’s Sunday afternoon didn’t start off well, but credit to the young cornerback for turning it around. Taylor was benched after a couple of early mistakes led to long scores by the Atlanta Falcons, with the New Orleans Saints coaching staff replacing him in the slot with veteran safety Ugo Amadi.

But Taylor rallied back when they later switched up the personnel to put him into the game as a boundary corner, replacing Isaac Yiadom. Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder made a bad mistake with the football and threw it right into Taylor’s chest, gifting the cornerback his second career interception in as many weeks.

This is where Taylor needs to be playing full-time. It’s clear by now that he isn’t suited to lining up in the slot, which makes sense given his lack of experience in that role going into the season. He’s a good player, especially when playing his natural position out wide, and the Saints need to find a way to keep him there this offseason.

WATCH: Bucs S Antoine Winfield Jr. saves a touchdown against the Panthers

Winfield Jr. made a great play to save a touchdown amid the mind-numbing first half of Tampa Bay’s game against the Panthers in Week 18.

[autotag]Antoine Winfield Jr[/autotag]. may not be going to the Pro Bowl in 2024, but he’s still making plays regardless.

In a first half that had almost no action whatsoever, the Carolina Panthers looked to go up over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 18 when wideout D.J. Chark took advantage of a busted coverage. He lept over the pylon for a touchdown, but Winfield Jr. managed to punch the ball out at just the right time and ensure that the play ended up as a touchback instead of a touchdown. This is the second time Winfield Jr. has done that this season, doing it to quarterback Desmond Ridder in Tampa Bay when the team played the Atlanta Falcons earlier in the year.

Check out the play below:

WATCH: Kendre Miller scores the first touchdown of his Saints career

WATCH: Kendre Miller scores the first touchdown of his Saints career

The New Orleans Saints and Atlanta falcons spent the first half trading blows as rookie running back Kendre Miller found the end zone for the first time in his young career to tie the game back at 14 a piece.

It wasn’t the rookie season that many hoped for with Kendre Miller, but he has certainly flashed talent at points throughout the year. Miller played in just eight games this season and had a major impact in just three, including the Week 18 matchup against the Falcons.

With Alvin Kamara out and Kendre Miller finally healthy again, the stage was set for Miller to put his mark on the game. The rookie did just that at the right time for a Saints offense that is trying to find consistency.

Dennis Allen won his first challenge of the 2023 season, but it didn’t count

Dennis Allen won his first challenge of the 2023 season in Week 18, but it didn’t count. Still, the Saints will take it, and the points that came with it:

Dennis Allen can’t even get credit for winning a challenge. The New Orleans Saints head coach was 0-for-3 on challenges going into Week 18’s regular season finale with the Atlanta Falcons, but he rightfully pulled out the red challenge flag early in Sunday’s contest.

Rookie Saints running back Kendre Miller rumbled into the end zone, eluding half a dozen Falcons defenders, but the officiating crew on the field initially said he was stopped short of the goal line. Allen challenged that result, and the play was overturned — but that’s thanks to an instant replay review from the NFL’s home office in New York, which radioed in the correct call at the same time.

Look, no one is complaining about this, but we have to acknowledge it’s at least a little funny. Allen has deservedly drawn a lot of criticism. That he hasn’t even won a coach’s challenge by Week 18 speaks for itself. And the fact that he would have finally got in the win column there against Atlanta is notable.

But we’ll take the points, and the extra challenge. Referee John Hussey agreed that this wouldn’t count as an official challenge from Allen so he still had both of his challenges for the rest of the game. Miller’s touchdown run helped tie things up with Atlanta, and it all broke out in New Orleans’ favor.

WATCH: Derek Carr finds A.T. Perry for nice red zone TD

WATCH: Derek Carr finds Saints rookie A.T. Perry for nice red zone touchdown pass against the Falcons

The New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons met on Sunday afternoon in a battle to keep playoff hopes alive. After the Falcons opened the scoring with a touchdown pass on their first possession, the Saints responded with a touchdown pass of their own.

Derek Carr and Taysom Hill led the Saints down the field, but it was the rookie big-bodied receiver A.T. Perry that came down with the score over the Falcons defender. Perry was a sixth round selection out of Wake Forest by the Saints in the most recent draft. Hopes were that he could come in and act as a red zone threat in the future, with Michael Thomas aging.

It has started to look like that may be the case, as Perry becomes more comfortable in the offense. The Saints will want him to become a more consistent weapon in the future, but he now has three touchdowns and a number of highlight catches from his rookie season.

WATCH: Demario Davis addresses Saints pregame huddle for maybe the last time in 2023

WATCH: Demario Davis addresses Saints pregame huddle for what may be the last time in the 2023 season

The New Orleans Saints have underachieved this year, but you can’t put the blame on Demario Davis. The veteran linebacker has continued to step up when his team has needed him — proving yet again why he’s such a valuable leader in the locker room. He leads by example and works hard to elevate those around him.

And on Sunday, Davis delivered his traditional pregame speech to his huddled teammates for what may be the final time during the 2023 season. The Saints will be eliminated from playoff contention with a loss to the archrival Atlanta Falcons. A win won’t clinch a playoff berth either, but the roads to the postseason all start there. Hopefully Davis and his Saints teammates can do enough to win the day and see if their season will keep going.

WATCH: Highlights from Tampa Bay’s Week 17 loss to New Orleans

While most Bucs fans probably have no interest in reliving this one, we figured we’d at least give you the option.

Believe it or not, there were, in fact, highlights in this game for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Not for most of it, at least. The Bucs were outplayed for just about the entirety of their contest against the New Orleans Saints, losing 23-13 in game that wasn’t quite that close. The game gave the team an opportunity to clinch the NFC South and go to the playoffs, but with the loss, it’ll have to wait one more week in an attempt to do it against the Carolina Panthers in the last week of the season.

The Bucs scored two touchdowns, with one coming from Bucs wideout Trey Palmer down the middle of the field and another coming on an impressive catch from Chris Godwin that he took to the corner pylon. That was about it, though — the Bucs had no turnovers to speak of on defense and not much offensive success until the dying embers of the fourth quarter.

Here are the highlights for the game (if you have the stomach to watch them):
