General manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll are expected to get to work immediately but before they do, here’s a look at 11 potential candidates.

The New York Giants ended their dismal 2023 season on a high note, demolishing the Philadelphia Eagles, 27-10, at MetLife Stadium in Week 18.

The final score wasn’t indicative of just how dominant the Giants were on Sunday as they caused the Eagles to quit at halftime and pull their starters. It was Big Blue’s biggest win over their NFC East rivals since 2012.

With the win, the Giants end the season with a record of 6-11 and will select sixth overall in the 2024 NFL draft.

Giants report card: How we graded Big Blue in Week 18 win

The New York Giants defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, 27-10, in Week 18 and the Giants Wire team grades reflect that performance.

The New York Giants defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, 27-10, to leave a bad taste in their mouth as they head into the playoffs.

The Giants had a wire-to-wire win in Week 18 as they ended their five-game losing streak against the Eagles. Even at home, the Giants came into this game as pretty heavy underdogs but the team proved the doubters wrong going up 24-0 by the halftime break.

With the win the Giants end the season with a 6-11 record and 3-3 record in the division. New York now owns the sixth overall pick and has a lot to think about this offseason. For now, they are happy to spoil the end of Philadelphia’s season.

Giants dominate Eagles, 27-10: Here’s how X reacted

The New York Giants ended the season on a high note, dominating the Eagles, 27-0, and here’s how X, formerly known as Twitter, reacted.

The New York Giants entered Week 18 against the Philadelphia Eagles hoping to get a win against their division rivals and end the season on a high note.

The Giants did just that when they beat the Eagles in blowout fashion. The Big Blue win handed the Eagles their fifth loss in the final six games of the season as they head into the playoffs as the fifth seed.

The Giants’ defense played the best they had all season long, forcing three turnovers and the Eagles appeared to have quit at halftime, replacing Jalen Hurts with Marcus Mariota.

The dominating win also highlighted a few players who may see their Giants tenures come to an end this offseason, including Saquon Barkley, Xavier McKinney, and Tyrod Taylor.

The score did not reflect the degree to which the Giants dominated the game as they had control throughout.

Here’s how X, formerly known as Twitter, reacted to the win.

Giants vs. Eagles Player of the Game: Xavier McKinney

The New York Giants defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, 27-0, in Week 18 and safety Xavier McKinney is our Player of the Game.

The New York Giants ended their five-game losing streak against the Philadelphia Eagles with a 27-10 victory.

New York dominated this one from the start, scoring three touchdowns in the second quarter going into halftime 24-0. The Eagles looked flat (which has become the norm over the back third of the season) and Big Blue took full advantage.

No player took more advantage than Xavier McKinney. He picked off Jalen Hurts once and then picked off Marcus Mariota later in the game. Both interceptions came in back-to-back drives in the first half to shut the door on the Eagles playing most of their starters for the rest of the game.

It is hard to tell which interception was better as his first pick he turned into an elite wide receiver and made a phenomenal toe-tap catch. However, in his second interception, he showed his intelligence as he jumped the screen route.

This is the second straight week where a safety earned player of the game for Big Blue. However, while Dane Belton is likely to return, McKinney is set to be a free agent this offseason. The latter makes it very hard for the Giants to let him go. He finished the game with six tackles and three passes defensed.

The former Alabama safety and second-round pick has shown flashes of being an elite player his whole career and he has had the best season of his career this season posting career-highs in tackles and passes defensed. He looks to be on the verge of stardom and will likely make his next team very happy.

Studs and duds from Giants’ Week 18 win vs. Eagles

Here’s a look at the studs and duds (and studly duds) from a 27-10 win for the New York Giants against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 18.

The New York Giants closed out the regular season with a wildly unexpected drubbing of the Philadelphia Eagles — something they hadn’t done to such a degree since 2012.

The game was over by halftime with the Giants leading 24-0 and the Eagles waiving the white flag. Head coach Nick Sirianni began pulling his starters, acknowledging they could no longer compete with Big Blue.

Although the game itself meant nothing to the Giants in terms of playoff seeding, it was significant in the sense that it ended Philly’s dominant reign.

Here is a look at some of the studs and duds (and studly duds) from the Week 18 victory.
