WATCH: Full game highlights from Boston’s 113 – 104 road win over the Pistons

See all of the best action in this highlight clip.

It might not have been the prettiest win of their 2021-22 NBA season to date, but it was a win for the Boston Celtics nonetheless, with the Celtics able to clamp down on defense late while finding their way to the basket on the other end as the beat the Detroit Pistons — the only team that has defeated them in their last 12 games — 113 – 104.

The game was a low-scoring defensive affair with plenty of questionable calls in both directions (one even resulting in the ejection of Detroit wing Hamidou Diallo) with the Pistons showing they are game to fight for a win even with one of the worst records in the league. But unlike in their last meeting, this time Boston managed to hold their composure, perhaps less distracted with All-Star week now firmly in their rear-view mirror.

If you want to see the best plays from this game again, or if you couldn’t catch the early tipoff, check out the clip embedded below put together by the folks over at NBC Sports Boston to catch all of the action with none of the downtime and commercials.

WATCH: Stashed Celtics guard Yam Madar’s best play overseas with Partizan NIS in 2021-22 so far

Could the Israeli floor general be a sneaky candidate for one of the Celtics’ open roster slots?

The Boston Celtics have two open roster spots — a regular roster slot and a two way one — it may want to fill before the March 1 deadline for playoff eligibility passes us by. And if the Celtics want a player who has some familiarity with their team and system, they could reach out to 2020 NBA draft pick and 2021 Las Vegas Summer League participant Yam Madar.

The two way slot might not be enough to entice Madar to leave Europe where he plays for Partizan NIS, but his ability to scale down his game at a higher level of competition without losing much in the way of efficiency.

And if you have not been keeping up on what the Israeli floor general has been up to overseas, fan YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski put together a 2021-22 season highlight clip of Madar with Partizan this season.

Check out the clip embedded above to see how Boston’s No. 45 pick in 2020 is showing out abroad.

WATCH: New Celtic Kelan Martin’s 2021-22 NBA highlights with the Indiana Pacers

Get to know the new Celtic’s game with this highlight clip.

A lot of fans of the Boston Celtics are not especially familiar with new 10-day contract signee Kelan Martin if they have even heard of the Butler product at all.

And while Martin played in the NBA this season with the Indiana Pacers, most fans of the Celtics have not had much exposure to their new small forward or his game. Putting up 6.3 points, 2 rebounds, and just under an assist per game with the Pacers, the Louisville native shot 41.7% from the field, 29.7% from 3, and 69.2% from the free-throw line this season.

If you want to get an idea about what you might see on the court if Boston can continue beating teams with enough of a cushion to lend some playing time to their deep bench, check out the highlight clip put together by fan YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski.

WATCH: Boston’s best plays from the Celtics’ nine-game winning streak

The Celtics jumped off the treadmill of mediocrity in favor of climbing the East standings.

The Boston Celtics went streaking ahead of the 2022 NBA All-Star Game — and no, we aren’t talking about getting on the court in their birthday suits. We are of course referring to the nine straight games they won before stumbling against the Detroit Pistons just ahead of star forward Jayson Tatum‘s trip to Cleveland, Ohio for the annual exhibition game.

The league-leading (at the time) string of wins catapulted the Celtics off the dreaded treadmill of mediocrity and onto the fast track to somewhere just outside the ranks of the true contenders with among the best defense in the league.

And while critics will be quick to point out much of that run was against some of the lighter competition Boston has played this season, that does not explain the team’s wins over the Philadelphia 76ers, the Denver Nuggets, or Miami Heat.

While we wait for the Celtics to get back to padding their winning percentage post-All-Star game, let’s take a look at some of the best plays from that win streak put together by the folks at NBC Sports Boston.

WATCH: Boston’s Jayson Tatum gets 8 points, 4 boards, 5 assists with Team LeBron in 2022 NBA All-Star Game

Check out his best plays from the annual friendly in this highlight video.

This year, the Boston Celtics only had one player in the 2022 NBA All-Star Game held in Cleveland, Ohio this past Sunday, Feb. 20 — star Celtics small forward Jayson Tatum.

The St. Louis native held it down in the ‘Land for Boston and Team Durant in a 163 – 160 losing effort to Team LeBron, recording a respectable stat line while representing the Celtics and the league’s Eastern Conference. Tatum put up 8 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and a steal in 20 minutes of floor time. The Duke product logged no personal fouls or turnovers in the contest, and shot 4-of-10 from the field, 0-of-4 from beyond the arc and did not make any free throw attempts in the game.

If you missed the All-Star Game but want to see how Tatum did in it, or just want to watch his highlights again, check out the clip embedded below, put together by fan YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski.

WATCH: Boston’s Grant Williams scores 17 points on Pistons on 4-of-7 shooting from deep

The Tennessee product was a rare bright spot in Boston’s stumble vs. Detroit on Wednesday.

While it came in a trap game the Boston Celtics should have easily won, forward Grant Williams still managed to have himself quite the game against the Detroit Pistons in the 112 – 111 loss that snapped the Celtics’ league-longest nine-game winning streak heading into the All-Star break.

The Tennessee product got a start in the absence of frontcourt teammate Robert Williams III as he nurses a sore right calf back to full health and made full use of it on his way to putting up 17 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks in a team-high 41 minutes of playing time. Williams shot a very solid 6-of-11 from the floor, a sizzling 4-of-7 from 3-point range, and sunk his sole attempt from the charity stripe.

We know you probably do not want to revisit the game itself given its outcome, but whether you want to see how G-Will played on Wednesday again or for the first time, check out the clip embedded below courtesy of fan YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski.

WATCH: Are the Boston Celtics contenders for an NBA title again?

Or do we need to see more?

For a while, when the Boston Celtics managed to start winning games after a rough start to the 2021-22 season, fans and analysts alike were still skeptical after watching the Celtics squander some of the most impressive leads in recent history not that long before.

Add in that much of their schedule for the bulk of their current, league-longest nine-game winning streak was being played against weaker teams than the Celtics faced early in their schedule, plenty of folks chalked it up to the strength of schedule to explain the team’s second-half resurgence. But Boston kept winning, and after utterly destroying one of the teams widely regarded as among the NBA’s better contenders in the Philadelphia 76ers 135 – 87, it’s getting harder to make up excuses to dismiss Boston’s elite point differential and play.

Is it safe to call this team a contender yet, given what we have seen so far?

This was the question posed by YouTuber AlexHoops in a recent clip he put together exploring the Celtics capabilities after changing how they play and making moves at the 2022 NBA trade deadline.

Check it out for yourself, and see if you agree with his assessment.

WATCH: Boston’s Aaron Nesmith put up career-high 18 points in Philadelphia 76ers blowout

Green Bean minutes are looking good of late.

It could have easily been lost in the carnage that was the Boston Celtics 135 – 87 road thrashing of the Philadelphia 76ers, but second-year Celtics small forward Aaron Nesmith had himself a career game off of the bench once the starters had come in and knocked the 76ers onto their heels.

The South Carolina native put up a career-high 18 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 23 minutes of playing time, committing just 3 personal fouls and turnovers both. The self-proclaimed “absolute sniper” was as billed in the contest, going 6-of-9 from the floor overall, a sizzling 3-of-5 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 3-of-3 from the charity stripe.

If you didn’t stick around long enough to see Nesmith get on the floor (not that we would blame you with that blowout) or just want to see how he did again, check out the clip assembled by fan YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski embedded below.
