Ottawa RedBlacks at Montreal Alouettes odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Ottawa RedBlacks at Montreal Alouettes odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Ottawa RedBlacks (4-11) and the Montreal Alouettes (8-7) meet Monday for a Week 18 matchup at Percival-Molson Memorial Stadium in Montreal. Kickoff for the Canadian Thanksgiving afternoon affair is set for 1 p.m. ET (CBSSN/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the RedBlacks vs. Alouettes odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The RedBlacks need to win out if they hope to sneak into the playoffs. If the Alouettes are able to pick up a victory, not only would the RedBlacks be eliminated, but Montreal can inch closer to hosting a playoff game. As it stands, the Als are in the postseason for the 4th consecutive season.

Ottawa suffered a tough 32-15 loss at home as a 1.5-point underdog last weekend against Montreal in the front end of the home-and-home set. The Under (49) cashed in Week 17, and that was the biggest betting news, as the Over had been on a 7-0 run for Ottawa. The Over is 9-2 in the past 11 games for the RedBlacks.

Montreal also topped Ottawa 25-24 in Week 11 in Canada’s capital city, although the RedBlacks cashed as 2.5-point underdogs in that one with the Over (47) just inching across the line. Montreal won in Week 1 at home against Ottawa, too, posting a 19-12 victory as a 2-point favorite with the Under (43.5) connecting.

The Alouettes enter with 2 straight wins, both on the road, while covering the past 3 outings. The Under is on a 4-0 run for Montreal, too.

RedBlacks at Alouettes picks and predictions

Prediction

Alouettes 26, RedBlacks 19

Moneyline

Montreal (-250) is tempting to play since it has won all 3 regular-season meetings with Ottawa. However, it’s not wise to risk 2½ times the potential return, no matter how favorable things look.

The RedBlacks are desperate for a win, trying to keep their flickering playoff hopes alive, although they certainly didn’t play with much fire at home last time out against the Als.

PASS.

Against the spread

MONTREAL -6.5 (-110) is worth playing lightly as this is a rather large number.

The Alouettes have covered 3 in a row, and they’re playing very good football. Montreal is 2-1 ATS this season vs. Ottawa. It’s now or never for the RedBlacks, though, and I expect they play hard, making this one close to the very end.

Over/Under

UNDER 47.5 (-110) might be the best play on the board.

First off, we have a matinee game in this Canadian Thanksgiving Day battle. Waking up early will affect both teams, and we could have a slow start.

Second, while the Over has dominated for the RedBlacks, going 5-0 in the past 5 road games, and 7-1 in the past 8 games overall, the Under is 11-2 in the past 13 meetings in Montreal. The Under has hit in 4 straight for the Als, and 9 of the past 12 at home for Montreal, too.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Saskatchewan Roughriders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Saskatchewan Roughriders Week 18 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (7-8) and the Saskatchewan Roughriders (6-9) meet Saturday for a Week 18 matchup at Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Saskatchewan. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (TSN+/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Tigers-Cats vs. Roughriders odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Tiger-Cats recorded a 22-15 victory at home over Calgary last weekend, covering as 1.5-point favorites while cashing the Under (48.5). Hamilton is now 3-1 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) across the past 4 games and clinched a playoff spot with the victory over Calgary.

Hamilton is still alive to finish 2nd in the East Division, with a chance to host the Eastern Semifinals. However, it is a game behind the Montreal Alouettes and if Montreal wins its game against the Ottawa Redblacks Monday the Als would wrap up 2nd place.

The Roughriders are in the mix for a postseason spot, currently sitting the final position in the West Division. Saskatchewan is 2 games clear of the Stamps, Edmonton Elks and Redblacks. Should the Roughriders win, both Edmonton and Ottawa would be eliminated.

Saskatchewan has been allowing other teams to hang around, as the Roughriders have dropped 4 straight games while going just 1-3 ATS. The Over has cashed in 8 in a row for Saskatchewan as it has allowed 29 or more points in 7 consecutive contests and 33 or more points in 4 in a row.

This will be the only regular-season meeting between Hamilton and Saskatchewan. The home team has won and covered each of the past 6 meetings in this series dating back to 2019, with Saskatchewan winning the most recent battle in Regina on June 11, 2022, topping Hamilton 30-13 to cover a 2.5-point spread. The Under has cashed in 6 straight meetings too and is 8-1 across the past 9 in the series.

Tiger-Cats at Roughriders picks and predictions

Prediction

Roughriders 29, Tiger-Cats 26

Moneyline

Saskatchewan (-170) is just a little too expensive, costing more than 1/2 times your potential return. This is going to be a close game, as both teams are playing with something at stake.

PASS.

Against the spread

HAMILTON +3.5 (-115) is worth a look as it has been playing much better lately than Saskatchewan.

There is a risk, as the home side has won and covered the past 6 meetings. In addition, the Ti-Cats are a dismal 3-19-1 ATS in the past 23 trips to Regina and 3-8 ATS in the past 11 meetings overall.

However, the Ti-Cats are 4-1 ATS in the past 5 road games, while going 5-1 ATS in the past 6 against teams with a losing record. On the flip side, the Roughriders are just 4-9 ATS in the past 13 games at home, and 1-6 ATS in the past 7 against losing teams.

Over/Under

OVER 49.5 (-105) is the lean, especially since the total has gone high in 8 straight games for the Roughriders. The Over is 5-0 in the past 5 home games for Saskatchewan, too.

The Under has trended for the Tiger-Cats, going 7-3 in the past 10 games overall and cashing in 13 of the past 16 meetings in this series, including 4 straight in Regina. There are risks, but trends in recent games in the current season outweigh more historical or long-term trends.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers at BC Lions odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers at BC Lions Week 18 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The 2nd game of CFL Week 18 has the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (11-4) on the road facing the BC Lions (11-4) Friday night. Kickoff is at 10 p.m. ET at BC Place. Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Blue Bombers vs. Lions odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

Winnipeg is coming off a 31-21 home win over the Toronto Argonauts as 8.5-point favorites while the Over (47.5) cashed. The Blue Bombers are 2-2 in their last 4, but 7-2 in their last 9.

BC has won 4 straight games and is coming off a 33-26 home win over  Saskatchewan, although they failed to cover the 10-point spread as the favorites. The Over (50) hit in the win.

Winnipeg and BC have faced each other twice in Winnipeg this season, splitting the 2 games.

Blue Bombers at Lions picks and predictions

Prediction

Lions 35, Blue Bombers 32

Moneyline

BC is 6-1 at home while Winnipeg is only 4-3 on the road this season.

The offenses for both teams have been humming. The Lions have averaged 37.3 points per game in their winning streak. The Blue Bombers have averaged 36.0 in their last 5.

Both early meetings this season between the two teams were blowouts. Expect a shootout. The Lions have allowed no fewer than 25 points in their win streak.

BET LIONS (-125).

Against the spread

Neither team is a consistent winner ATS. Winnipeg is 8-7 ATS while BC is 8-6-1 ATS.

But with only a 1.5-point spread, there isn’t much difference between the moneyline and the spread.

For the potential to win a few more dollars, you could go with the spread, but in an expected back-and-forth shootout, you might as well stick with the moneyline.

PASS.

Over/Under

The totals in their 2 meetings earlier this season were 36 and 64. The lowest total in BC’s last 4 games has been 59 points. All of Winnipeg’s last 5 games have had 52 points or more.

BET OVER 52.5 (-105).

Edmonton Elks at Toronto Argonauts odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Edmonton Elks at Toronto Argonauts Week 18 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Week 18 schedule of the CFL kicks off Friday with the Edmonton Elks (4-11) visiting the Toronto Argonauts (12-2). Kickoff from BMO Feild is at 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Elks vs. Argonauts odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

Edmonton is coming off a 39-27 home loss to the BC Lions on Sept. 22, failing to cover as a 5.5-point underdog while the Over (50) cashed. The Elks had won 4 of their previous 5 games.

The Argonauts had a 6-game win streak snapped in a 31-21 loss at the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last week. Toronto failed to cover as an 8.5-point underdog while the Over (47.5) cashed, ending a 3-game run to the Under.

Toronto beat Edmonton 43-31 as a 5.5-point road favorite on June 25 as the Over (44.5) cashed in their only other meeting this season.

Elks at Argonauts picks and predictions

Prediction

Argonauts 37, Elks 28

Moneyline

The Argonauts had won 6 games in a row before their loss last week. The Elks, after a terrible start to the season, have won 4 of their last 6 games.

Toronto is unbeaten at home and beat Edmonton once earlier this season.

However, the risk of wagering on Toronto (-370) isn’t worth the reward.

PASS.

Against the spread

Toronto is 10-4 ATS overall this season but are 3-3 ATS in their last 6. Seven of their last 8 wins have been by more than 7 points.

Toronto already has a 12-point win over Edmonton this season.

Edmonton has averaged 29.1 points over its last 7 contests. The Elks are 6-9 ATS overall this season and 1-3 ATS in their last 4.

Toronto has averaged 33.7 points in its last 7 games.

Analyzing Saturday’s Montreal Alouettes at Ottawa Redblacks Week 17 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Montreal Alouettes (7-7) and the Ottawa Redblacks (4-10) meet Saturday for a Week 17 matchup at TD Place in Ottawa, Ontario. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET (TSN+/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Alouettes vs. Redblacks odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Alouettes moved back to .500 with a 28-11 road victory against the Calgary Stampeders as a 1-point underdog last weekend as the Under (49) connected. The victory halted a 4-game losing skid. Montreal has now covered back-to-back games for the first time since a 3-game cover streak from Week 8-10.

The Redblacks also snapped a losing skid in Week 16, topping the Saskatchewan Roughriders by a 36-28 score as a 1.5-point underdog at home to halt a 7-game slide. That span included a 25-24 home loss to the Als in Week 11, although the Redblacks covered as 2.5-point ‘dogs.

The Over has cashed in 7 straight games for Ottawa, a span during which its allowed 26 or more points in each contest. The Over is also 9-1 across the past 10 games overall for the Redblacks.

The Under has hit in 3 in a row for the Alouettes, but the Over has a 4-3 edge in the past 7 games, including that previous matchup with the Redblacks.

Alouettes at Redblacks picks and predictions

Prediction

Alouettes 28, Redblacks 23

Moneyline

MONTREAL (-105) is a strong play in this road game in Canada’s capital city. The Als can clinch a spot in the postseason with a victory.

Ottawa is hanging on by a thread. The Redblacks will be eliminated from the postseason with a loss to Montreal coupled with a victory by Saskatchewan.

Against the spread

MONTREAL -2.5 (-115) looked good going on the road last week, dominating the Stamps for a 2nd straight cover. It should do so against another inferior foe, although it won’t be easy with the Redblacks clinging to flickering postseason hopes.

The Als are 5-1 ATS in the past 6 tries against teams with a losing overall record and are 7-2 ATS in the past 9 trips to Ottawa.

The Redblacks have covered just once in the past 7 games against East Division opponents, while covering just 9 times in the past 32 games at home.

Over/Under

OVER 47.5 (-110) is a nice play in this Week 17 matchup.

The Over has hit in 7 straight games overall for the Redblacks and is 4-1 in the past 5 contests at home.

The Under is 5-1 in Montreal’s last 6 September games dating back to last season and is 7-3 in its last 10 against losing teams but the Over has cashed in 7 of its last 10 road games.

Calgary Stampeders at Hamilton Tiger-Cats odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Calgary Stampeders at Hamilton Tiger-Cats Week 17 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Calgary Stampeders (4-10) and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (6-8) meet Saturday for a Week 17 matchup at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (TSN+/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Stampeders vs. Tigers-Cats odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Stampeders have dropped the past 2 games, and 5 of the past 6 outings overall. However, Calgary has been playing tough, covering 4 of the past 5 outings, while going for 23 or more points in 3 of the past 4 contests.

Calgary was humbled last time out by the visiting Montreal Alouettes 28-11, failing to cover as 1-point favorites as the Under (49) cashed for the 2nd time in a row. The total has gone low at a 5-2-1 clip across the past 8 games for the Stamps.

The Tiger-Cats look to keep their postseason hopes alive against the subpar Stamps. Hamilton has won 2 of the past 3 games, and 3 of the previous 5 outings, while covering in each of the victories during the stretch, too. The Over is 3-1 across the past 4 outings, although the Under is 6-3 in the previous 9 games overall.

This is the 1st and only between between the Stamps and T-Cats this season. Hamilton won the most recent meeting Oct. 14, 2022, by a 35-32 score in Calgary, while the Ti-Cats are 4-1 ATS across the past 5 in the series.

Stampeders at Tiger-Cats picks and predictions

Prediction

Tiger-Cats 26, Stampeders 19

Moneyline

HAMILTON (-130) is the play in “the Hammer”, as the Ti-Cats look to keep their postseason hopes alive and well.

Calgary (+110) has just been too erratic this season, and it has lost 5 of the past 6 games overall to all but fall out of the postseason conversation.

Against the spread

HAMILTON -1.5 (-110) is slightly cheaper laying the little bit of points on their home field.

While, yes, Calgary has been fairly hot against the number lately, it is still just 1-4 ATS in the past 5 meetings with Hamilton.

The Ti-Cats are just 1-4 ATS in the past 5 games at home, but they’re 4-1 ATS in the past 5 games, while going 4-1 ATS in the past 5 games after a straight-up loss, and 4-1 ATS in the past 5 after a non-cover, too.

Over/Under

UNDER 47.5 (-110) is worth a look in this Week 17 matchup.

The Under has connected in 13 of the past 18 meetings in this series, while going 7-3 in the past 10 in Hamilton.

In addition, the total has gone low at a 5-2-1 clip in the past 8 games overall for the Stamps, while also going 5-2-1 in their past 8 on the road.

For the Ti-Cats, the Under is 4-1 in the past 5 after a SU loss, and 4-1 in the past 5 after an ATS loss, too.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders (6-8) and BC Lions (10-4) meet Friday at BC Place. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET (CFL+/TSN). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Roughriders vs. Lions odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Roughriders failed to cover the spread as 1.5-point favorites in a 36-28 loss last Friday at the Ottawa Redblacks as the Over (48) cashed. Saskatchewan is 0-3 straight up and against the spread (ATS) in its last 3 games.

The Lions covered as 5.5-point favorites with a 37-29 win last Friday at the Edmonton Elks as the Over (50) hit. BC can clinch a home playoff game with a victory Friday.

These teams have split their 2 head-to-head meetings this season. The Lions pushed as 10-point home favorites with a 19-9 win in the 1st meeting July 22 as the Under (45.5) cashed, and the Roughriders covered as 10-point home underdogs in a 34-29 win Aug. 20 as the Over (45) hit.

Roughriders at Lions picks and predictions

Prediction

Lions 31, Roughriders 25

Moneyline

The Lions (-450) are tied with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for the top spot in the West Division and need to win in order to keep pace. However, the price is a little high on the BC moneyline.

PASS. Bet the spread and/or the total instead.

Against the spread

The Lions have not been great lately coming off of ATS wins, going 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after covering in their previous outing. While the Roughriders have been playing below expectation lately, they did match up well vs. the Lions in their most recent meeting.

I believe the market is overvaluing BC in this spot and overreacting to Saskatchewan’s losing skid. BET ROUGHRIDERS +10 (-110).

Over/Under

The Over has hit in the Roughriders’ last 7 games and the Lions’ last 3. Both defenses have been struggling recently, and I don’t trust either to help keep this game low-scoring.

BET OVER 48.5 (-115).

Toronto Argonauts at Winnipeg Blue Bombers odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Toronto Argonauts at Winnipeg Blue Bombers Week 17 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Toronto Argonauts (12-1) and Winnipeg Blue Bombers (10-4) meet Friday at IG Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (CFL+/TSN). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Argonauts vs. Blue Bombers odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Argonauts covered the spread as 9-point home favorites with a 29-14 win Saturday vs. the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as the Under (50.5) cashed. Toronto will rest QB Chad Kelly Friday since it has already clinched the 1st seed in the East Division. QB Cameron Dukes will instead get the start.

The Blue Bombers failed to cover as 7-point favorites in a 29-23 loss at the Tiger-Cats as the Over (49.5) hit Sept. 16 before their Week 16 bye. Winnipeg is tied for the top seed in the West with the BC Lions, who host the Saskatchewan Roughriders Friday.

  • Against the spread (ATS): Argonauts +7.5 (-110) | Blue Bombers -7.5 (-110)

Argonauts at Blue Bombers picks and predictions

Prediction

Blue Bombers 33, Argonauts 23

Moneyline

The Blue Bombers (-350) need this win to keep pace with the Lions, who are 10-point favorites vs. the Roughriders Friday. However, there’s no need to pay the higher price on the moneyline when Winnipeg should win by margin.

PASS. Lay the points and/or bet the total instead.

Against the spread

Toronto is showing how little it cares about this game by resting Kelly and Oakman, and taking a cautious approach with Peters and McManis. Toronto’s coaching staff has no motivation to win this game after locking up the 1st seed in the East and will instead shift its focus to just keeping its stars healthy.

Winnipeg is in a must-win situation in order to compete for the top spot in the West and should take advantage of Toronto resting multiple stars. Give me the team that has more motivation to win, coming off an embarrassing loss last time out.

BET BLUE BOMBERS -7.5 (-110).

FOOTBALL NEVER STOPS
Live games, analysis and more 7 days a week: Get ESPN+

Over/Under

The Over has hit in the last 4 Blue Bombers games and 10 of the last 12 meetings between these teams. While Toronto’s offense shouldn’t be as explosive as usual, I expect Winnipeg to run up the score vs. this shorthanded defense in order to secure a win.

BET OVER 48.5 (-110).

Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Toronto Argonauts odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Toronto Argonauts Week 16 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (6-7) and the Toronto Argonauts (11-1) meet Saturday for a Week 16 matchup at BMO Field in Toronto, Ontario. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (TSN+/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Tiger-Cats vs. Argonauts odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Tiger-Cats got off to a brutal start, but they’ve been better lately, winning and covering 3 of the past 4 games overall. Of course, the lone loss during that stretch was a 41-28 home loss to Toronto in Week 13. The Over (51) cashed in that one, and it is 3-0 in the past 3 outings for the Ti-Cats.

The Argonauts have won 11 of 12 games this season, including a perfect 3-0 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) mark against Hamilton. Since a stunning Week 9 loss at Calgary, Toronto has won 5 straight while going a respectable 3-2 ATS.

The Under is 2-1 in the 3 previous matchups between these provincial rivals, with the Over cashing in Toronto’s 41-28 win on Sept. 4 in the most recent meeting.

With last week’s 23-20 win in Montreal, the Argos clinched the East Division.

Tiger-Cats at Argonauts picks and predictions

Prediction

Argonauts 26, Tiger-Cats 19

Moneyline

Toronto (-450) will cost you 4 1/2 times your potential return, and that’s just too much risk for not enough reward.

One has to wonder about Toronto’s motivation after wrapping up the East Division title. Ouellette, the team’s leading rusher, will be rested, and Phillips, the team’s 2nd leading receiver, is out with a groin issue. The Argos also have their 2nd best rusher, Harris, out with a knee ailment.

PASS.

Against the spread

HAMILTON +9.5 (-115) has rallied. The team was a mess in the 2 games following the injury to Mitchell, but the Ti-Cats have won 3 of the past 4 games, while also going 3-1 ATS. The Tiger-Cats catch Toronto the week after clinching, and that’s a good spot.

Will Hamilton scoot up the highway and steal a win in T-Dot? I’m not feeling that. However, it should be able to keep this game within single digits for its first cover of the season against Toronto, a team which is part banged up, and part cautious.

Over/Under

UNDER 49.5 (-110) is a strong play. I don’t like the fact the Argos are going to be without Ouellette and Harris, the top 2 backs. Yes, that could mean QB Chad Kelly is slinging it early and often, but I think the Toronto offense might be slightly disjointed in this post-clinch home game.

Montreal Alouettes at Calgary Stampeders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Montreal Alouettes at Calgary Stampeders Week 16 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Montreal Alouettes (6-7) and the Calgary Stampeders (4-9) meet Saturday for a Week 16 CFL matchup at McMahon Stadium in Calgary, Alberta. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET (TSN+/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Alouettes vs. Stampeders odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Alouettes are skidding lately after a hot start. Montreal followed up a 4-game win streak from Week 8-11 with a 4-game losing streak over its last 4 contests. The Als have allowed 23 or more points in each of the past 5 games and are just 1-4 against the spread (ATS) during that span.

Montreal has gone cold on offense, too. It scored 25 or more points in a 5-game run from Week 6-11, but it is averaging just 18.0 points per game (PPG) during the previous 4 outings.

Calgary was tripped up 25-23 at Edmonton last time out on Sept. 9, but it did grab the cover as a 2.5-point underdog at most shops. The Stampeders have covered a season-high 4 straight games.

The Alouettes picked up the 25-18 win as 1.5-point home favorites while the Under (49.5) cashed when these teams met in Week 8. The Als are 5-2 ATS in the past 7 trips to Calgary while going 12-2 ATS in the past 14 meetings overall in this series.

Alouettes at Stampeders odds

Odds provided by FanDuel Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 9:19 a.m. ET.

  • Moneyline (ML): Alouettes -110 (bet $110 to win $100) | Stampeders -110 (bet $110 to win $100)
  • Against the spread (ATS): Alouettes -1.5 (+100) | Stampeders +1.5 (-120)
  • Over/Under (O/U): 47.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

  • DB Shaquille Richardson (knee) out
  • DB Tre Roberson (chest) questionable
  • DB Darius Williams (shoulder) questionable

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

Alouettes at Stampeders picks and predictions

Prediction

Alouettes 26, Stampeders 23

Moneyline

MONTREAL (-110) is a decent play straight up if you don’t want to worry about the small amount of points, or if you feel there is a strong chance of Calgary winning or falling by just a single point.

Against the spread

The better play is taking MONTREAL -1.5 (+100), saving yourself a few loonies in the process. The Als have dominated this series against the number, covering 12 of the past 14 meetings while going 5-2 ATS in their last 7 visits to McMahon Stadium.

It’s hard to be confident in the Als, other than their dominant numbers in this series, as Montreal has dropped the past 4 games overall. However, Calgary has also dropped 4 of the past 5 games overall. It was a 1.5-point underdog in Week 8 in Montreal and fell by a 25-18 score. Look for the Als to cover again.

Over/Under

OVER 47.5 (-110) is the lean, but go very, very lightly.

The Over has outpaced the Under 2-1 in the past 3 games for the Stamps and is 4-2 in the past 6 games overall for the Als. However, the Under did connect in the first meeting back in Week 8 between these teams.
