Podcast: Reviewing Jags’ Week 2 loss, looking ahead to Week 3 with Cards Wire

The Cardinals are favored to win Sunday’s game and most don’t think it will be pretty. Still, we went ahead and got a little intel on Kyler Murray and Co. as they prepare for the Jags.

Another regular season game is in the books for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and unfortunately, it came with another loss for the team.

in Episode 88 of “Bleav in the Jaguars” Jags Wire’s Phil Smith and James Johnson reviewed what went wrong for the team against the Denver Broncos, who defeated Jacksonville in their home opener by a score of 23-13. In a nutshell, the duo pinned this one mostly on offense, which came out hot but cooled down after the first drive.

Afterward, James and Phil were joined by Cards Wire editor Jess Root to preview Week 3’s game. Among the topics discussed along the way was Kliff Kingsbury’s development as an NFL head coach, Kyler Murray’s growth, the Cardinals’ defense, and a score prediction from Card Wire’s perspective.

Listen: Jags Wire previews Week 2’s game with Broncos Wire

For those headed to the game, we have a new episode of “Bleav in the Jags” up previewing Sunday’s game against Denver with @TheBroncosWire. Feel free to listen!

After falling to Houston, the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1) will look to get their first one in the win column Sunday against the Denver Broncos (1-0), who had a much more successful Week 1 result. To get some intel on Vic Fangio’s group, not only did we go behind enemy lines with Broncos Wire’s Jon Heath, but we also jumped in the recording booth with him for episode 87 of “Bleav in the Jags.”

Among the topics discussed were the expectations for the Broncos, the difference veteran Teddy Bridgewater has made, and a player on the Jags’ unit who Denver would like to snag.

The Jags Wire crew discussed the addition of speedster Tyron Johnson and much more in the latest episode of “Bleav in the Jags.” As always, it’s one you don’t want to miss.

In the latest episode (No. 85) of “Bleav in the Jags,” Jags Wire’s James Johnson and Phil Smith reviewed the Jacksonville Jaguars’ last preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys, which was a 34-14 victory for the Cardiac Cats. More importantly, it was a game in which the Jags’ offense gained some momentum, which was the biggest talking point of the episode’s recap.

Afterward, the duo looked at the moves the Jags made to get to their initial 53-man roster and the addition of receiver Tyron Johnson, which occurred on the next day. The also discussed the practice squad unit, which had some standouts from the preseason on it.

With that being the case, the hosting duo addressed whether it’s time to panic or not for the fans at home.

Afterward, James and Phil discussed the devastating blow the Jags took when they loss Travis Etienne for the due to a Lisfranc injury that occurred in Monday’s game. They also discussed the Jags’ decision to name Trevor Lawrence the starter, then lastly, they discussed the importance of the Jags’ practice facility being approved by the city council.

Podcast: Defensive stories to watch during Jags training camp

The Jags will be learning a new scheme come training camp an it will be interesting to see what players fit right in.

While mandatory mini-camp has yet to arrive for the Jacksonville Jaguars, many fans are anticipating training camp heavily. The reason for that is because it’s shaping up to be the most exciting one in recent history.

Of course, the main attraction will be No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence, but there will also be some interesting things to watch on defense, too. In Episode 74 of “Bleav in the Jags” Jags Wire’s James Johnson and Phil Smith listed off some of these potential storylines for the defense.

These storylines included analysis on how Shaq Griffin will fit into the scheme, how the Jags will attack the quarterback, the competition on the defensive line, and more. The pair also discussed the Tennessee Titans’ acquisition of Julio Jones, too, as the Jags will have to deal with him twice a year now.

If Minshew is still on the Jags’ roster during training camp, it will be interesting to watch him and Trevor Lawrence compete this summer.

While the Jacksonville Jaguars are currently in organized team activities, training camp will be here before fans know it.
