Carson Wentz among the early favorites to win 2020 NFL MVP

The 2019 NFL season just ended and the discussion to who’ll win the league’s most prestigious individual award has already begun.

BETMGM just released the 2020 NFL MVP odds and Eagles franchise quarterback Carson Wentz is among the early favorites, joined by rival and Cowboys free agent Dak Prescott, among others.

Reigning MVP, Patrick Mahomes has the best odds currently, followed by the Texans Deshaun Watson, Prescott, the Seahawks Russell Wilson, and the Saints Drew Brees.

Wentz is coming off arguably his best and most complete season as a pro. Wentz started all, 16 regular-season games, became the franchise’s first 4,000-yard passer and led the Eagles to another division title.

Eagles open as slight home underdogs to the Seahawks in the first-round

Eagles 1.5-point home underdogs to the Seahawks in the Wild Card round

The playoffs started three weeks ago for the Philadelphia Eagles, and the games will continue after the Eagles clinched the NFC East title with a 34-17 win over the New York Giants at Met Life Stadium.

The Birds will get a rematch with the Seattle Seahawks their Week 12 opponents, who slid out of Lincoln Financial Field with a 17-9 victory. In that game, Carson Wentz had a handful of turnovers and the Eagles were considered too banged up to make a playoff run

Things have changed and thanks to a division title, the Eagles will host Seattle in the Wild Card round, even though the Seahawks have a better record.

With injuries and struggles with depth, oddsmakers like the Birds.

According to  to odds from BetMGMthe Eagles are early 1.5-point home favorites over the Seahawks.

The Seahawks will travel to Philly next Sunday to take on the Eagles at 4:40 p.m. EST.

Eagles open as early 4.5-point road favorites over Giants in Week 17

Eagles open as early 4.5-point road favorites vs. Giants in Week 17

The playoffs started three weeks ago for the Philadelphia Eagles, so while other teams have been preparing for the NFL Draft or making vacation plans, the Birds have been hell-bent on winning four straight division games.

After defeating the Dallas Cowboys 17-9 at home on Sunday, the Eagles sit just one win away from an NFC East title and a third straight playoff birth.

Even as Week 16 is just coming to a close, the Birds are looking ahead to the season finale.

According to  to odds from BetMGMthe Eagles are early 4.5-point road favorites over the New York Giants.

The Eagles need a win over the Giants or a Cowboys loss to advance to the postseason.

Eagles open as 2.5-point home underdogs to the Cowboys in Week 16

Eagles open as 2.5-point home underdogs to the Cowboys in Week 16

The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys will square off on Sunday at Lincoln Financial with the NFC East title on the line.

The Birds salvaged their season with wins over the Giants and Redskins in the last two weeks and will now need to overcome their recent struggles against Dallas.

The last time these two teams met Dallas embarrassed the Eagles 37-10 at home in Week 7. After crushing the Rams, 44-21, the two teams will now meet on Sunday.

Even with the Eagles at home and in likely cold weather, Dallas is favored and according to  to odds from BetMGMthe Eagles are opening as 2.5-point home underdogs to the Cowboys.

The Eagles had been 0-7 in games in which it trailed in the fourth quarter, but they’ve now won two straight games when trailing in the fourth.

In terms of how the division will play out, The Eagles must beat the Cowboys, then win at the New York Giants in Week 17 to secure the NFC East division title. If the Cowboys beat the Eagles, they clinch the NFC East no matter what happens in Week 17.

If the Eagles win next week but lose to the Giants in the season finale, then a Dallas win at home over Washington in Week 17 would still give the Cowboys the tiebreaker edge for the division crown.

Nigel Bradham’s fumble return for TD allowed Eagles to cover the spread on final play

Nigel Bradham’s return of Dwayne Haskins fumble for TD allows Eagles to cover point spread on the final play

The Philadelphia Eagles got a really good win on Sunday and for many sports bettors across the country, they delivered a bad beat as Scott Van Pelt famously likes to say.

The Eagles were favored by 5.5 over the Redskins on the road according to Bet MGM, and after a leaping touchdown by Greg Ward Jr. with 26 seconds left, the Birds were up by four and on the brink of not covering the spread.

Bettors around the country were probably rejoicing in assuming that the Eagles would play down to their competition and make it a difficult win.

With Washington setting up for what looked like a hail mary attempt, Dwayne Haskins fumbled as time expired, allowing Nigel Bradham to scoop the ball up and return it 46 yards for a touchdown.
