Cardinals take QB Caleb Williams in new 4-round mock draft

This mock makes good picks for the Cardinals over four rounds but misses the mark with the fourth overall pick.

It is mock draft season as the Arizona Cardinals look ahead to the 2024 NFL draft in about two and a half months.

Some mock drafts are reasonable. Some are out of touch.

This one is out of touch for the Arizona Cardinals.

In a new four-round mock draft from Draft Wire’s Curt Popejoy has the Cardinals selecting a quarterback fourth overall, a guy largely believed who will be the first quarterback drafted.

James Conner a finalist for top ‘angry run’ of 2023

His stiffarm on Steelers CB Patrick Peterson that launched him out of bounds.

The NFL will announce top players and top plays of the season in the days leading up to the Super Bowl.

One Arizona Cardinals player could go home with a scepter.

Cardinals running back James Conner is a finalist for the best “angry run” of the season.

NFL Network analyst Kyle Brandt does a weekly “award” for the strongest, most violent and “angriest” run by a running back.

He will announce the top “angry run” of the season on Thursday.

Conner’s run against the Pittsburgh Steelers when he launched former Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson flying backward with a stiffarm.

The other two candidates are Seattle’s Zach Charbonnet and Pittsburgh’s Najee Harris.

We will find out the winner on Thursday.

Draft Wire’s post-Senior Bowl top 5 tackles in 2024 draft

Check out the top five tackles in the 2024 draft, according to Draft Wire after the Senior Bowl.

In the 2024 NFL draft, with two first-round selections, the Arizona Cardinals could certainly use one to select an offensive tackle, pairing him with Paris Johnson, whom they selected sixth overall in 2023.

With left tackle D.J. Humphries suffering a torn ACL in December, he will miss most, if not all, next season.

This draft class has some very good tackles. Some project as many as eight could be selected in the first round.

Who are the top tackles? Draft Wire’s Natalie Miller released the site’s first rankings of the top five tackles in the draft following the Senior Bowl.

Check them out and read the full post for reasons for their rankings.
