Don’t forget about Ravens RB Justice Hill

The Baltimore Ravens should be careful not to slight the contributions running back Justice Hill has made this season.

With the signing of running back Dalvin Cook, the Baltimore Ravens should be careful not to slight the contributions of running back Justice Hill this season.

Hill went from playing frequently early in the season to losing reps to rookie running back Keaton Mitchell. When Mitchell suffered a season-ending injury in week 15, Hill re-emerged, elevating his play to function as a timely asset to the Ravens’ offense.

Hill had five catches on five targets in week 17, making one touchdown catch while recording 48 rush yards on three carries. Hill also returned two kicks for 101 yards as well. After such an emphatic performance, head coach John Harbaugh must be mindful not to ruin team comradery by allowing Cook to believe he will receive most of the reps at running back.

Offensive coordinator Todd Monken should work Cook into the rotation behind running back Gus Edwards, primarily on early downs. Hill should be the primary on third down until he shows himself inadequate.

Cook has taken zero snaps in the Ravens’ offense that already ranks No. 1 in the NFL in total rush yards. Hill, Edwards, Mitchell, and quarterback Lamar Jackson are the players that should be accredited for this success. Finally, while Cook’s skills cannot be denied, unless Hill’s play declines, the Ravens’ should avoid disrupting team chemistry.

Steelers secure spot in playoffs after Titans win

The Steelers have made the playoffs after a late-season rally.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have secured a spot in the playoffs after the Tennessee Titans beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 28-20 on Sunday. The Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday and needed some help on Sunday, getting it in the early game thanks to a big game by Titans running back Derrick Henry.

Pittsburgh is currently the No. 7 seed in the AFC. Sunday Night Football is the Buffalo Bills against the Miami Dolphins and this will have an impact on the seeding in the AFC. The Bills are in as the No. 6 seed. If the Dolphins beat the Bills, the Steelers and Bills would swap spots, changing up their first round opponent.

Will the Steelers make the playoffs?

Cast your vote and tells us if the Steelers sneak into the playoffs.

The Pittsburgh Steelers did their part. Pittsburgh beat the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday and now they get to play the waiting game. The Steelers need to have either the Miami Dolphins beat the Buffalo Bills or the Tennessee Titans beat the Jacksonville Jaguars to sneak into the playoffs.

Getting to this point was no easy task and now the Steelers are powerless to do anything by watch and wait. Worse than that, the Dolphins and Bills are the Sunday night game so it will be late Sunday night until the Steelers know their fate.

Ravens to sit Lamar Jackson in season finale vs. Steelers; Tyler Huntley to start at QB

With Baltimore locking up the No. 1 seed in the AFC, the #Ravens are resting Lamar Jackson, and starting Tyler Huntley against the #Steelers

Lamar Jackson was just named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week, and his five-touchdown performance in a 56-19 win over the Dolphins will be the last thing MVP voters see in the regular season.

With Baltimore having wrapped up the No. 1 seed in the AFC, John Harbaugh is starting Tyler Huntley in the season finale against the Steelers (9-7) at M&T Bank Stadium.

Jackson dominated Miami in Week 17, passing for 321 yards and five touchdowns on 18 of 21, for a perfect 158.3 passer rating. He added another 35 yards on six carries on the ground.

Jackson will finish this likely MVP season with 3,678 yards passing, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, and his 65.3 QBR is good for fourth in the NFL.

He also logged a team-high 821 yards rushing and five touchdowns.
