What are the odds the Philadelphia Eagles will win Super Bowl LV?

Breaking down the Philadelphia Eagles sports betting odds of winning Super Bowl LV.

[jwplayer cLm2Z5wU]

Do the Philadelphia Eagles have what it takes to win it all this year? We look at the sports betting odds around their chances of being the 2021 Super Bowl champions.

The joy of the preseason is that all fan bases – OK, almost all of them – have hope their favorite team will be holding the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year. However, there can only be one…

Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl LV odds

According to the oddsmakers at BetMGM sportsbook, the Eagles Super Bowl odds are at +1600 to win the championship this season. In fractional odds, that’s 16/1. It implies the team has a 0.0588 chance of winning.

Are you new to sports betting? Future odds like these give sports bettors, both experienced and casual, the opportunity to place an early wager on the team(s) they think will be this season’s NFL champion. As the year passes, the odds will move – the better a team becomes in the eyes of the oddsmakers, the shorter the odds will become. The worse a team looks, the longer the odds will be. If a team starts to receive a large number of bets on them, sportsbooks will also start to move the lines up and down to help cover their bases, too. By placing a bet early, it gives you the opportunity to receive a better potential return on your wager assuming those odds will later become shorter and, more importantly, less profitable.

A $100 wager on the Eagles at +1600 odds returns a profit of $1,600 should they go on to win the Super Bowl this year.

Updated 2021 Super Bowl odds: Offseason moves driving NFL odds changes

NFL odds around the 2021 Super Bowl have changed considerably due to free agency and trades.

[jwplayer iluT1Hra]

The NFL Draft is around the corner and the free-agent market is starting to dry up. With a number of NFL teams looking significantly different already, sports betting odds around the 2021 Super Bowl are already moving – in some cases, quite considerably.

The Kansas City Chiefs, 31-20 winners over the San Francisco 49ers in last year’s Super Bowl, remain the favorite in the eyes of BetMGM oddsmakers. Their odds have even become slightly shorter, moving 50 points since right after the Super Bowl win.

2021 Super Bowl LV betting trends: Which teams are being bet on the most?

Looking at Super Bowl LV betting trends, with the 10 teams that have seen the most bets placed on their 2021 Super Bowl victory

[jwplayer ckBRxYAg]

With spring comes new hope for every NFL fan base on their team’s chances of winning the Super Bowl. Sports bettors are also busy placing early NFL futures action on who they think will win it all. Which teams are receiving the most bets? We asked that very question of BetMGM sportsbook.

New to sports betting? A future bet is a wager on an event down the road, often many months ahead. The odds are typically longer and more profitable if you’re able to nail the winning ticket.

Super Bowl 55: Top 10 teams bet on

Data via BetMGM, last updated March 22nd.

1. Kansas City Chiefs (+600)

The Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes, return most of their key starters and look to run it back again for back-to-back championships. They’re the early favorite among oddsmakers to win it all again, too.

If you’re new to sports betting, a $10 wager on the Chiefs would return a $60 profit if the Chiefs do, in fact, lift the Lombardi Trophy in back-to-back seasons.

Also see: 2020 NFL MVP Odds: Is Patrick Mahomes worth a bet?

2. Baltimore Ravens (+700)

Following a 14-2 regular season that saw them become the AFC’s No. 1 seed, many had the Ravens winning it all a year ago. They remain one of the better squads in the AFC and QB Lamar Jackson has quickly proved to be a difference maker. His third year could be the charm. For every $10 wagered on Baltimore to win it all, you’d see $70 in profit with a Super Bowl victory.

3. San Francisco 49ers (+800)

The 49ers lost last season’s Super Bowl, but they return a solid portion of their talented team that went 13-3. Can this be the year they take it to the next level and win it all? You’d return $80 profit on every $10 wagered if they do.

4. New Orleans Saints (+1200)

QB Drew Brees re-signed with New Orleans as they look to make another run at it after a 13-3 2019 campaign. Talented across the board and returning most of their key starters, time is running out for Brees to win his second Super Bowl. But, with Brady joining the Bucs, New Orleans’ division got a bit tougher…

2021 Super Bowl LV betting trends: Which NFL teams have the most money bet on them?

Looking at Super Bowl LV betting trends, with the 10 teams that have seen the most money wagered on their 2021 Super Bowl victory

[jwplayer ckBRxYAg]

With the sports world still, largely, at a full stop, our attention turns toward the future and where sports bettors are placing their wagers around the 2021 Super Bowl LV.

New to sports betting? A future bet is a wager on an event down the road, often many months ahead. The odds are typically longer and more profitable if you’re able to nail the winning ticket.

Super Bowl 55: Top 10 teams on total money bet

Data via BetMGM, last updated March 22nd.

1. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs (+600) are the defending champions and early favorite to win it all again next season. Having Patrick Mahomes under center is a huge help, plus this team retains most of their key ingredients that made the 12-4 ’19 season a success.

A $100 futures bet on the Chiefs would return a $600 profit at +600 odds should the Chiefs repeat as Super Bowl Champions.

Also see: 2020 NFL MVP Odds: Is Patrick Mahomes worth a bet?

2. San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers (+800) were the NFC’s representative in last season’s Super Bowl and return a good portion of their talented team that went 13-3 a season ago. Can this be the year they take it to the next level and win it all? You’d return $80 profit on every $10 wagered if they do.

3. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens (+700) were picked by many to win it all a year ago following a 14-2 regular season that saw them become the AFC’s No. 1 seed. Despite a early departure from the playoffs, they remain one of the better squads in the AFC and QB Lamar Jackson has quickly proved to be a difference maker. His third year could be the charm. For every $10 wagered on Baltimore to win it all, you’d see $70 in profit with a Super Bowl victory.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Didn’t see this coming a month ago, did you?

The Buccaneers adding QB Tom Brady put them on the map for early Super Bowl bets. The odds on the Bucs became much shorter once Brady agreed to terms, so you’re not going to see quite as much reward now (+1600) that those putting $50 down on them at +6500 (to win $3,300) did, but $160 profit on every $10 wagered is still a nice payday should Brady win his seventh Super Bowl championship.

The Tom Brady effect: Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2021 Super Bowl LV odds move considerably

Tom Brady joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers significantly shifted the Super Bowl LV odds, with the Bucs odds becoming much shorter.

[jwplayer THgEYRwx]

With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers agreeing in principle on a deal with free-agent QB Tom Brady to become the new face of their franchise, the move has significant ripples across the world of the NFL. The Super Bowl LV future betting odds around the Bucs may be one of the largest.

Basically overnight, Tampa Bay jumped into the top seven among shortest betting odds at BetMGM sportsbook.

Not only will Brady have a huge immediate impact on the team’s ticket and merchandise sales, but he’s going to get people eager to place wagers on the Bucs to win it all in his first season with his new swashbuckling teammates.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl LV Odds

Odds via BetMGM, last updated March 18 at 3:20 p.m. ET.

The Buccaneers are +1600, tied with the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles with the fourth-shortest odds to be next season’s Super Bowl LV champion. It would be Brady’s seventh championship if it occurs, further cementing his already first-ballot ride into the Hall of Fame someday.

Only the Kansas City Chiefs (+650), Baltimore Ravens (+750), San Francisco 49ers (+850) and New Orleans Saints (+1200) have shorter odds.

New to sports betting? A future bet is placing a wager on an event to come much later, generally months, down the line. The odds are generally favorable, which can lead to significant profit if you nail the winning ticket. A $100 wager on the Buccaneers today would return a profit of $1,600 with a Tampa Bay Super Bowl LV victory.

+1600 odds represent 16/1 fractional odds, or the oddsmakers forecasting the Buccaneers have a 5.88% chance of winning Super Bowl LV.

Just about six weeks ago, at the conclusion of Super Bowl LIV, the Buccaneers were +5500 odds. Brady’s addition moved the sports betting line considerably. And now that Brady has moved from the AFC to the NFC, there’s always a chance he could meet up with his former New England Patriots squad in the Super Bowl. Wouldn’t that be a sight?

Speaking of those Patriots, without Brady their odds became longer, going from +1400 to +2000 at BetMGM. The power of Brady and the shifting odds board; expect to see more during the coming weeks and months.

When is Super Bowl LV?

The 2021 Super Bowl, which will be the 55th Super Bowl, is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021. The game just so happens to be scheduled to be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., otherwise known as Brady’s new home stadium. Get some early action on it by placing a bet at BetMGM.
