Cardinals cut S Qwuantrezz Knight

Knight played in six games for Arizona last season, logging no stats in four defensive and 32 special teams snaps.

The Arizona Cardinals announced a roster move, one that won’t really move the needle for fans. The team announced that safety Qwuantrezz Knight was cut.

Knight is placed on waivers for any other team to claim him. If he goes unclaimed after 24 hours, he will become a free agent, as his contract is terminated.

Knight wasn’t with the Cardinals long.

After spending his rookie season in 2022 on the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad (he was a rookie free agent out of UCLA that year), he was signed by the Cardinals to their active roster from the Niners’ practice squad back in September. He also spent time on Arizona’s practice squad before being re-signed to the roster in November.

He appeared in six games, playing four defensive snaps and 32 on special teams. He did not log any statistics.
