Cardinals’ 1st-round picks set at No. 4, No. 27

The Texans’ loss to the Ravens and the Bucs’ and Packers’ losses over the weekend solidified the Texans’ first-round pick would be No. 27.

The Arizona Cardinals now know exactly what two selections they will have in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft in April. They already knew they have the fourth overall pick, thanks to their 4-13 record in 2023.

They also own the Houston Texans’ first-round selection, acquired in a draft-day trade in 2023, but where that pick would fall was not determined until Sunday afternoon.

It will be the 27th pick.

The Texans, 10-7 in the regular season, were eliminated from the postseason with a 34-10 defeat to the Baltimore Ravens. With that loss, the selection would be somewhere between No. 25 and No. 27.

When the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who had 9-8 regular-season records, both lost their playoff games this weekend, they moved into the 25th and 26th picks, solidifying the Texans’ pick at No. 27.

Arizona has five selections in the first three rounds of the 2024 draft.
