Can Boston Celtics big man Robert Williams III take another leap?

The Celtics center seems like he’s on the cusp of stardom — could he take another leap?

Even when he was playing more or less on one leg after coming back as fast as humanly possible from surgery on a torn meniscus in the 2022 NBA Playoffs, there were stretches of play where Boston Celtics big man Robert Williams III was arguably the most important player on the court.

Most of that added value came on the defensive end of the court, but Timelord has also served as a backup plan via lobs when the Celtics can’t buy a bucket another way. If he can take his play on either end of the court, Boston might just become an unstoppable force for the foreseeable future.

But the “if” is the key word here, because making leaps in the NBA is far from a linear proposition for most players.

The host of the “Locked On Celtics” podcast John Karalis recently explored what such a leak might look like for the Texas A&M product; listen to the clip embedded above to hear what he has in mind for Williams.
