Cam Waters set for NASCAR debut with ThorSport Racing at Martinsville

Cam Waters is scheduled to make his NASCAR debut with ThorSport Racing in the Truck Series event at Martinsville Speedway.

NASCAR is going to Martinsville Speedway this weekend, which means it is a prime time for drivers to debut. The 0.526-mile track is good for new drivers, including those experienced in racing but not at one of NASCAR’s top levels. For example, one driver who is 29 years old is scheduled to make their debut this weekend.

[autotag]Cam Waters[/autotag] will drive the No. 66 truck for [autotag]ThorSport Racing[/autotag] in the NASCAR Truck Series race at Martinsville. Waters competes in the Supercars Championship, with 258 starts to his name. The Supercars driver has 11 wins, 45 podiums, and 23 pole positions throughout his career. Waters joins a growing group of drivers from Supercars to make a NASCAR start.

It will be fascinating to watch Waters make his NASCAR debut, as ThorSport Racing has good equipment in the Truck Series. Waters shouldn’t be expected to win in his debut like Shane van Gisbergen at the Chicago Street Course, but a good run on Friday night could lead to more NASCAR starts in the future.
