California 2023 defensive end gets a Notre Dame offer

Interesting development here

The Irish aren’t taking any chances with their defensive end group in the 2023 recruiting class. Currently there are four commits ([autotag]Keon Keeley[/autotag], [autotag]Brenan Vernon[/autotag], [autotag]Boubacar Traore[/autotag] and [autotag]Devan Houstan[/autotag]). Each is an impressive prospect.

It seems as if most of the commits are very solid in their pledges — except Keeley. The highest rated commit recently officially visited Alabama and there is smoke he could be on his way to Columbus for an official when the Buckeyes face the Irish.

[autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag]wants four ends in this class, even if there is a decommit, so an offer went out today to [autotag]Jaeden Moore[/autotag], a Californian who is 6 feet, 4 inches and 235 pounds.

What’s interesting about this offer is Moore is set to announce his commitment on Aug. 17 and the Irish aren’t in his final four. This obviously could change the situation for Moore, who was selecting from among California, Washington, Oregon and Arizona.

We will find out in a few days if the Irish offer sways Moore to continue with his commitment, delay it or possibly commit to the Irish. It is definitely a recruitment to watch right now for Notre Dame.
