More national recognition?
As often is the case, the Bills get overlooked in terms of the national spotlight. But eyes finally started to migrate over to western New York in 2019. Most notably, cornerback Tre’Davious White landed an All-Pro selection. But accompanying him to the Pro Bowl was Edmunds.
When drafting Edmunds in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Bills wanted their QB of the defense. It appears they’ve got him, and if the Pro Bowls continue to follow, it’ll cost them to lock him up. But he does have a fifth-year option on his rookie deal, so at minimum, the Bills will have Edmunds around for a few more years. And if he’s on another deal after that? It’s crazy to think how young he is. At 22, he’s entering his third season and that’s the age of many rookies.
But while we’re going to see if the national recognition continues for Edmunds, we’ll see if it’s going to start for Milano. As a former fifth-round pick, the Bills got a steal in him. Milano is easily one of the most underrated players in the entire league and has been deserving of Pro Bowls and praise in the past. Let’s see if 2020 holds that for him… finally.
