The Brooklyn Nets have completed another stage of their offseason now that the summer league has come to a close with the Nets making to the semi-final stage before losing in a tough battle to the Cleveland Cavaliers. One player is being rewarded for his efforts during the summer tournament.

On Tuesday, per their official Twitter account, Brooklyn has signed guard Armoni Brooks to a Two-Way deal after what he did in Las Vegas. Brooks, 25, played five games for the Nets in the summer league and averaged 17.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 50% from the field and 47.6% from three-point territory.

Brooks was one of the best shooters in the summer league and while he brings that to the table as his primary skill, he also displayed an ability to play effective defense in spurts. With all of the shooting that Brooklyn lost this offseason in Joe Harris, Patty Mills, and Seth Curry, signing Brooks could be the Nets’ way to making up for that.
