Broncos select DL Javon Kinlaw in new 2020 NFL mock draft

In this new 2020 NFL mock draft, the Broncos select South Carolina defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw in the first round.

In his latest four-round 2020 NFL mock draft for Draft Wire, Luke Easterling has the Denver Broncos selecting South Carolina defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw with the 15th overall pick in the first round.

Star wide receivers Jerry Jeudy (No. 11; New York Jets), CeeDee Lamb (No. 12; Oakland Raiders) and Henry Ruggs III (No. 13; San Francisco 49ers) are all already off the board when Denver selects in Easterling’s mock draft.

“The early run on the top receivers hurts the Broncos, who would have to move up if they want to land an explosive pass-catcher to pair with Courtland Sutton,” Easterling wrote alongside the Broncos’ selection of Kinlaw.

“Instead, they switch gears and go defense, taking one of this year’s most dominant and versatile interior linemen. Kinlaw backed up strong film with a dominant performance in Senior Bowl practices.”

Kinlaw (6-5, 324 pounds) has been compared to Michael Brockers by NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein. During his three years with the Gamecocks, Kinlaw totaled 82 tackles, 10 sacks, eight pass breakups and three forced fumbles.
