Broncos injuries: Justin Simmons did not practice Wednesday

Broncos safety Justin Simmons (hip) was held out of Wednesday’s practice.

Denver Broncos safety Justin Simmons did not practice Wednesday with a hip injury, according to the team’s injury report. Broncos defensive lineman Mike Purcell was also sidelined with an ankle injury.

With Caden Sterns and P.J. Locke on injured reserve, the remaining backup safeties are Delarrin Turner-Yell and rookie JL Skinner, who has been inactive for the team’s first two games of the season.

Turner-Yell was back on the field Wednesday after exiting Sunday’s game with a cramping issue.

Elsewhere on the injury front, outside linebacker Frank Clark (hip) remains sidelined. He might miss another game this weekend after sitting out in Week 2.
