Broncos had a virtual pre-draft visit with WR Matt Landers

After totaling 47 receptions for 901 yards and 8 TDs in 2022, Matt Landers is projected to be a late-round pick in the NFL draft.

The Denver Broncos recently had a virtual pre-draft visit with Arkansas wide receiver Matt Landers, according to The Draft Network’s Justin Melo.

Landers (6-4, 200 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash in 4.37 seconds and a 10-yard split in 1.51 seconds at the NFL combine. That kind of speed with Landers’ size turned heads among NFL scouts.

Landers started his college career at Georgia, playing sparingly for the Bulldogs from 2019-2020. He then transferred to Toledo in 2021 and caught 20 receptions for 514 yards and five touchdowns.

Landers transferred a third time ahead of the 2022 season, joining the Razorbacks for his senior campaign. Landers totaled 47 receptions for 901 yards and eight touchdowns in 13 games with Arkansas last fall.

Landers is now projected to be a late-round pick or undrafted free agent candidate later this month. Denver’s latest pick in the draft (barring a trade down) is set to be No. 195 overall in the sixth round.

If the Broncos to not make a selection in the seventh round, the team might try to target Landers as a UDFA prospect after the draft.
