Broncos expected to start QB Brett Rypien vs. Jets

The Broncos are expected to start Brett Rypien against the Jets on Thursday Night Football in Week 4, according to NFL Network’s James Palmer.
Jeff Driskel will likely serve as his backup. He went 17-of-30 passing against the Buccaneers last week, totaling 176 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
He was sacked five times before being benched in favor of Rypien. The latter went 8-of-9 for 53 yards and his only drive ended with an interception in the red zone.
Rypien signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Boise State last year. He served as a backup behind Brandon Allen for three games in 2019 when Joe Flacco and Drew Lock were injured
