As the adage goes: offenses sell tickets, but defenses win games.
The Denver Broncos will sell tickets as Russell Wilson’s arrival will be a draw. But the defense will have to measure up if the Broncos want to contend. So far, as far as preseason games go, they are showing flashes of promise.
Denver’s currently playing the Minnesota Vikings in their third and final preseason game. As the score was 10-7 with the Broncos in the lead approaching halftime, defensive lineman McTelvin Agim recorded a strip-sack, allowing outside linebacker Baron Browning to scoop the ball from the ground for a defensive score.

Agim and Browning, third and second-year players, respectively, will look to capitalize on this big play into a stellar season. With new defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero blending the old Fangio system with his twist, Agim and Browning will aim to contribute to a potential playoff-bound defense in 2022.
