BREAKING: New SEC opponents announced for Alabama

On Friday, Alabama found out which new SEC opponents they would be facing this year after the SEC decided to play a conference only schedule

With just over a month until the (hopeful) start of the college football season, there have been many recent changes to this season including: cancelling non-conference games, limited (or banning) fan attendance during games, player/coach practice regulations due to the coronavirus, and even adding more conference games to the schedule.

On Friday, the Alabama Crimson Tide found out which new SEC opponents they would be adding to the schedule this year after the SEC decided to play a conference only schedule.

When the SEC made the conference-only schedule decision, Alabama had to cancel their matchups with Georgia State, Kent State, and Tennessee-Martin.

Now, the Crimson Tide is adding the Missouri Tigers and Kentucky Wildcats Bulldogs to their 2020 schedule.

Alabama will play Missouri (away) and Kentucky (home) this fall.

When you take a moment to think about the SEC teams already on Alabama’s schedule: Georgia, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Tennessee, LSU, Texas A&M, and Auburn, Alabama will truly have one of, if not the hardest, schedule in the country.

5 of the teams on Alabama’s schedule now were ranked in the top 25 of the The Amway Coaches Poll.

If Alabama finds a way to win the SEC West, and the SEC Championship, there’s no way anyone can argue against Alabama being back in the College Football Playoff.

And that’s exactly one of the goals this Alabama team has this season: make it back to the CFB Playoff.

Once the Crimson Tide releases the updated schedule with the date and times of each matchup, Roll Tide Wire will be the first to let you know!
