Breaking: Michigan cornerback enters NFL draft

Great player for Michigan!

With success comes attrition.

Michigan football has made the College Football Playoff in consecutive years and was the winner of the Big Ten conference during that span. To win championships and make the playoff, the Wolverines needed a very talented roster.

On Friday, Michigan lost one of its starting defensive backs.

DJ Turner announced on Twitter he was forgoing his final season in college and entering the 2023 NFL draft.

During his four years in Ann Arbor, Turner started 21 games and appeared in 35. Turner locked down a starting role in 2021 and never looked back. He compiled 69 tackles and three interceptions.

Turner was a two-time All-Big Ten selection.

Michigan has Mike Sainristil and Will Johnson coming back for next season. The Wolverines are still waiting on word from Gemon Green to see what he will do for next season. If Green returns, Michigan will more than likely start three players will plenty of experience.
