Black Stripe Alert: Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson loses black stripe

Another true freshman officially becomes another member of the Ohio State football team.

Of all the early enrollees at Ohio State, none may have been more ballyhooed than five-star and No. 1 overall ranked running back TreVeyon Henderson. The Virginia native has been turning heads during spring practice drills and now Henderson is an official member of the Buckeye football team.

The Ohio State Football official Twitter account has shown several highlight-reel plays of the freshman phenom during practices so far. And from the looks of things, Henderson is every bit as good as advertised.

Henderson found out the news and shared with his teammates saying

“First, I want to thank God. And I want to thank everyone for pushing me and getting me better. I’m excited to be a Buckeye and I’m excited to be apart of this program. Go Bucks!”

I think it probably goes without saying, but Buckeye Nation is excited to have Henderson as a Buckeye just as much as he’s excited to be in scarlet and gray.

We’re looking forward to seeing big things from this kid in the fall.
