Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass, who was just named Special Teams Player of the Month for the AFC, has been rock solid ever since he came to the team.
Bass was part of a trade after being the 188th overall pick (6th round) in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Georgia Southern.
Recently winning the award is a testament to how great he has been for Buffalo, especially this season. Not only is he first in the NFL in field-goal percentage (100%), but he also ninth in the league in field-goals made (7) and sixth in total points scored (31).
With Buffalo being one of the teams expected to make a deep playoff run this season, a lot of pressure is on the Bills to deliver in every matchup. Bass, during a press conference on Thursday, explained how he prepares for game day and what allows him to succeed at his job despite all of the pressure:
“I just don’t think about it. I do a lot of visualization stuff pre-week (and) during the week, but when I go out there, I treat every kick the same. It’s another kick to me,” Bass said.
