Defense

Notes:

  • Trent Murphy led the defensive line with 77 percent of snaps, his highest since playing 79 percent in Week 1.
  • Ed Oliver saw another big dip in snaps played. Newcomer Corey Liuget played in 17 snaps in his Bills debut and the first-round rookie played in 23.
  • Overall, the rotation along the defensive line has dropped significantly, perhaps due to the team’s poor run defense. Jordan Phillips and Star Lotulelei played in 71 percent and 70 percent of snaps, respectively, both are season-highs. Jerry Hughes also played in 73 percent of snaps, along with Murphy’s prior mentioned totals.
  • While having a tough day, cornerback Levi Wallace played in 94 percent of snaps.

Special teams

Notes:

  • Rookie Jaquon Johnson saw a dip in snaps played. Last week he was amongst the highest-group and he dipped down to the third-tier vs. the Browns.
  • Senorise Perry saw a slight downtick in snaps from the first grouping to second grouping vs. the Browns.
