The Buffalo Bills are on the board with a bit of a late splash in free agency.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Buffalo has signed pass rusher Leonard Floyd to a one-year deal.

Floyd, 30, most recently played for the Los Angeles Rams. Despite continuing his rehab from his knee injury sustained last season, that means Von Miller was likely involved in the recruiting process.

Floyd played for the Rams for the past three years. Him and Miller won the Super Bowl with Los Angeles during the 2022 season. Miller was traded there, mid-season, by the Denver Broncos.

Starting his career as a first-round pick of the Chicago Bears in 2016, Floyd took off once he joined the Rams in 2020.

In four seasons in Chicago, Floyd had 18.5 sacks. Los Angeles ended up getting 29 sacks out of him in only three years. In each of the last trio of seasons, Floyd had at least 9 sacks in all three.

In 2022, Floyd appeared in all 17 games for the Rams. Pro Football Focus graded him a 65.7 overall mark.

Floyd’s addition likely puts somebody on the hot seat as well.

Floyd will give Miller time to recover from his knee injury, but once Miller is back in the fold, it’s a packed position for the Bills. Buffalo sports the likes of Greg Rousseau, AJ Epenesa, Boogie Basham, and Shaq Lawson on the edge as well.

A decision might have to be made down the line.
