On Sunday night, the New York Giants face the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are coming off of a loss to Jacksonville, a game that took place in London last week.
The last time the Bills lost a game was the season opener against the New York Jets, and the following week the Bills showed no mercy in defeating the Las Vegas Raiders, 38-10.
Everyone knows the Giants have a nearly impossible task ahead of them. Between the injuries and the apparent inability to function as a unit, the Bills will come out with a vengeance against their former offensive coordinator.
In their Sound Bits feature, several Bills players stated how much they like Brian Daboll and attribute their success to him. Sean McDermott had a different take on this game, saying that the Giants will be a test.
“I think they’ve got a solid football team. I mean, they’ve had some injuries, and when you look them at last season, you know, they went in and won the wild card round out in Minnesota I think it was, and they’ve got a good football team. They’ve got good schemes, good coaches and we’ve got a test in front of us on Sunday night,” he said.
The test may not be as difficult as McDermott is making it out to be now that we know Daniel Jones isn’t playing. Saquon Barkley, Gary Brightwell and Darren Waller are questionable as well, leaving little for the Giants’ offense to work with.
Still, it’s always possible that a player finds his groove right when the team needs it most. Hopefully, someone will step up and make Sunday’s game interesting.
