Despite interest elsewhere, Bobby Babich is staying with the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills have announced that Babich, previously the team’s linebackers coach, has been promoted to defensive coordinator.

The 40-year-old recently had interviews with three teams including the:
Babich has worked on Sean McDermott’s coaching staff as a defensive assistant. Babich came to Buffalo with his father, Bob, in 2017. The elder Babich coached linebackers for five seasons in Buffalo. He retired after the 2021 season.
In 2023, the Bills did not have a defensive coordinator in place as McDermott served in that role last season.
What remains to be seen is if McDermott or Babich will call plays for the team’s defense in 2024. That’s likely the next update we’ll end up seeing come from McDermott.
