The Buffalo Bills had full attendance at their 2022 minicamp this week. That included safety Jordan Poyer.

Poyer was holding out of voluntary workouts this spring in an effort to get the Bills to sign him to an extension.

Buffalo has yet to do so, but Poyer still showed up at minicamp since it’s mandatory. The Bills were happy about that.

“It’s important. He’s one of the leaders of our team,” Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott said via video conference. “It’s good to see his face in here, you know, on a personal level, and then just to get him around the team. I’m sure those guys are happy to see him, as well.”

As many could expect, the one most excited to see Poyer was his safety partner in Micah Hyde.

“He’s a guy you can’t replace. I wouldn’t be the player I am without him and vice versa. We push each other. We have that underdog mentality,” Hyde said.

The fellow safety went into further detail on Poyer missing out this spring. Check out more from Hyde on Poyer via WIVB-TV:
