Bills dominate Commanders 37-3: Everything we know

Everything we learned after a humiliating loss.

It was a day to forget for Washington quarterback Sam Howell Sunday, as the second-year signal call threw four interceptions and was sacked nine times in an embarrassing 37-3 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

The game looked competitive in the early going as Washington’s defense held the Bills to a field goal on their opening drive. Howell quickly led the Commanders deep into Buffalo territory before the wheels fell off.

Howell was sacked on consecutive plays and, on third down, was intercepted by Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard at the 16-yard line. The Commanders would have other opportunities, but sacks and turnovers continued to kill any chance of competing with the superior Buffalo squad.

Here’s everything we learned from an ugly day for Washington.
