Bills’ Brandon Beane thinks Giants GM Dave Gettleman has media fooled

Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane thinks New York Giants GM Dave Gettleman has the NFL media pool completely fooled.

Does New York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman have swag? Is he actually tech savvy? Does he have the media completely fooled and chasing their tails?

Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane, who worked under Gettleman in Carolina, certainly thinks so.

During an appearance on ESPN’s “Pardon My Take” on Friday, Beane cautioned that Gettleman is much smarter than people give him credit for and has the media completely fooled into thinking he’s an idiot.

“Can’t trust him. Dave’s smart, man. He’s throwing all the curve balls out there,” Beane said of Gettleman’s viral home office photo. “He’s actually pretty tech savvy. Don’t let him fool you in all seriousness.”

It wasn’t a tongue-in-cheek comment, either. Beane appeared dead serious. He was offering a legitimate warning to members of the media that they’re being fooled. Intentionally.

But Beane didn’t stop there, adding that Gettleman’s complete lack of swag is actually quite swaggy.

“Dave’s a swaggy guy,” Beane said with a laugh. “Dave is the only GM that walks around the office in flip flops. I give him props for that. He’s a proud man. He calls his toes his puppies. Dave was a lot of fun to work for and to work with. He’s got his own kind of swag, he really does. Got nothing but good things to say about Dave.”

Beane and Gettleman are friends, so naturally take this defense with a grain of salt. But wouldn’t it be something if Gettleman were actually so smart that he’s convinced people he’s dull?
