In the days that have followed Kaiir Elam being selected by the Buffalo Bills in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft, one story has become very well know.

During a pre-draft interview with the team, Elam brought a massive stack of notes with him. It was all about receivers he had faced at the University of Florida.

After he officially was picked by the Bills, Elam then asked the team to send him the playbook so he could start studying during his flight up to Buffalo.

That commitment to learn wasn’t just taken at surface level though, according to Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane.

During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Beane said the Bills actually looked into the legitimacy of Elam’s “homework” he did during the season. It all checked out.
